pimpshost 03-25-2002 11:09 PM

The pic of the upside down bike was actually an accident. He was trying to do an endo in front of me, and grabbed to much brake. The he just made the best of it.

All these pictures are from a ride to Rosorito Mexico yesterday. The whole slide show and gallery is here.

http://www.socalrider.com/Pictures20...24Rosa001.html

We actually found some pretty hot chica's down there at Papas and Beers since it was Spring Break.

pimpshost 03-25-2002 11:09 PM

Yeah, I'm guilty, thats me...the one that did not wreck the bike. It did suck to see my buddy mess his bike up so bad. It was cherry.

X37375787 03-25-2002 11:09 PM

what a shame !

AdultWire 03-25-2002 11:12 PM

My crew will come down and hang with you guys when we're in the area.. and tear some shit up.

baddog 03-25-2002 11:16 PM

I think the upside down one is one of the finest pictures of a rice grinder since this one that I customized myself.http://myslut.a1der-babe.com/bike/ricegrinder.jpg

AdultWire 03-25-2002 11:22 PM

Haha.. that's not a ricer. It's a fucken belt drive.. probably a harley!

pimpshost 03-25-2002 11:23 PM

nice site, I just checked it out. Looks like we'd have some fun.

the guy in the background lolol

AdultWire 03-25-2002 11:24 PM

Yeah.. those video's were a while ago too.. When he gets this site finished it will be KILLER.. but right now there's not many working links on it yet.

baddog 03-25-2002 11:25 PM

AdultWire, I sure hope you know webmastering better than you know motorcycles. Belt drive does not mean H-D, and on top of that, I not only took the pick, but did the deed. If you look real close you can see the rice laying in the wreckage.

AdultWire 03-25-2002 11:27 PM

When you said Ricer, I thought "rice-rocket" -- figure you meant jap sport bike. That is not a sport bike. And yes, I know belt drive does not mean HD.. it's just the most popular belt manufacturer.

well, if you look again, you will notice that I did not call it a ricer, or a rice rocket, but in fact a rice grinder. They are all the same to me.

pimpshost 03-25-2002 11:32 PM

well I am just glad I can do a pop-a-wheelie

AdultWire 03-25-2002 11:33 PM

Yeah.. my bad.. I consider them different. But lets face it, most bikes look bad after you've redecorated them in that mannar. There's a reason why I ride Jap bikes.. they're light, fast, fun, and flicky. You can see that I'm not alone by the way that american bikes are imitating jap bike styling now. If only they weren't so slow...

I am sorry, what? Japs have been imitating Harley for years. I remember back in the late 70s, a writer from a Jap M/C magazine interviewing me as to what made H-D so popular with Americans when they seemed to always be working on them.

They were interested in knowing what is was about the sound, design, look, etc about H-D that made people tattoo their logo on their bodies. Honda, and Suzuki just never had that kind of loyalty from their customers. :Graucho

AdultWire 03-26-2002 02:55 AM

Yes.. that is true.. but the tables have finally turned. Now harley is buying up companies that produce jap looking bikes. Harley's will always have their sentimental value, but "rice" bikes are much more popular these days. The kids want to do stunts and go fast. I like american bikes, but I like jap bikes better.

When was the last time an american bike did this.. STOCK:

Dammy 03-26-2002 03:01 AM

Cool site AdultWire :)

baddog 03-26-2002 03:14 AM

well, I will admit that it has been a while since I followed the Bonneville Salt Flats, but the last time I heard, the World Land Speed Record was held by H-D at 318 MPH

Besides, if I really wanted a sport bike, it would probably be a Buell or a Ducati, but if I want style, HD is the only way to fly.

Great chick magnet too. :Graucho

pimpshost 03-26-2002 03:21 AM

Hahaha, Ducati's have no balls like a gelding. Ride with the stallions, Yamaha 4 Life!

baddog 03-26-2002 03:22 AM

Yamaha, yeah when I was 15 maybe :1orglaugh

AdultWire 03-26-2002 03:36 AM

Haha.. HD has a charm of it's own, but I'm not talking about salt flats here. I'm talking about unmodified street vehicles. And that's what you're looking at in the picture above. That's what 11k will get you in a jap bike.

AdultWire 03-26-2002 03:38 AM

P.S. I like Ducatti's. I'm not a huge Buell fan -- the shape doesn't feel intuitive to me. But I love the Duc monster 900 class. (dark please)..

That thing smokes, and FEELS SO FUCKEN LIGHT.. ugh.. street-stuntman's dream.

Bake 03-26-2002 03:53 AM

you dont belive half that shit ,theres no stock bike that dose more than 310km if they tell you more there full of BS.
Why HD is so popular it quaility and Image , why people bought them in the early 80's I have no idea.
Stopies are easy just get rolling to about 30 mph and push on the bars and apply the brakes just right rolling along for meters is a bit harder.

pimpshost 03-26-2002 04:06 AM

the guy in the pic thought stoppies where easy too.

AdultWire 03-26-2002 04:23 AM

Haha. Bake, you don't know your bikes. There's half a dozen bikes that do more than 310Km/h stock. Almost every 2000 Hayabusa did 330+Km/h out of the box. There's obviously manufacturing variance. A few were probably as slow as 310, and some were as fast as.. well.. this one seems to have hit 345 give or take. Maybe a gust of wind got his back.

Even my buddy's 90' GSX 750R with no *major* mechanical mods will hit over 310.

I agree that just doing a stoppie is no major feat, but doing good stoppies is a different story.. also, doing them without hurting yourself, and consistently is a skill.

Any asshole can do a stoppie, but any asshole can also slip the front wheel and not know what to do about it, stick out his leg, and end up in the hospital.

Stoppies are more impressive when they're tied together into combo's. One of my boys here likes to use a 5-6 degree stoppie to spin up his rear tire so he can drop into a rolling burnout. And he goes straight from the rolling burnout into a 12 o'clock standing wheelie. Now that's fucken impressive.

AdultWire 03-26-2002 04:25 AM

P.S., if anyone has a newer busa and can't figure out why their third gear accelleration bites cock, ICQ me.

AdultWire 03-26-2002 04:34 AM

i wish I had some showoff pics.. my favorite shit was mad-maxes on a 1984 Honda Interceptor. I was also real comfortable with the shape of that bike, so I could do the ride backwards stuff, and stuff like that.. unfortunately, an undermaintained chain snapped and took out an engine cover, re-stripping a screw hole that had already been stripped, and causing more damage than was worth repairing. Too bad.. I loved that bike.

H-D's can wheelie though! You wouldn't think it from all the weight, but they've got TORQUE as well!!!

Jamie 03-26-2002 03:01 PM

I just hope this guy isn't your friend.

(Haha. Bake, you don't know your bikes. There's half a dozen bikes that do more than 310Km/h stock. Almost every 2000 Hayabusa did 330+Km/h out of the box )
You must be relying on the spedo for those figars ,they ran a test here on the Hayabusa on a air strip useing a stalker radar gun In stardard trim its was only good for 312km with the mirrors removed and a few other bits its best was 318km.
It takes alot of power to go over 300km F1 cars rearly go over 300km and the GP bikes here at Philip Island during testing of Hondas new V5 was only good for 320 km

Rilose 03-26-2002 06:29 PM

You guys wanna see some PHAT bikes???

Check out West Coast Choppers :smokin

Jesse James is the fucking King of custom.

baddog 03-27-2002 12:43 AM

Yeah, Jesse is pretty good at what he does, but have you ever heard the phrase that chrome don't get you home? West Coast Choppers should be the posterchild for that phrase.

They had a piece on the discovery channel a few weeks back, where they were going to follow him and some of his boys as the rode from their shop to Sturgis, SD, non-stop.

What a joke. Was a good thing they had a chase truck and a film crew with them. They never even made it to the NV border before shit started flying off of their bikes, including seats, and electronic ignition systems.

I could not believe they allowed the piece to be aired. 1450 miles and I think every bike in the piece had to be worked on before they even pulled into town. Not very good advertising in my book.

If I was going to spend a lot of money, I would have to go with Bartell's H-D, The Harley dealership of the stars, and Ron is a great guy.

As far as the torque behind a Harley, you can bend your own steel frame doing burnouts. I have done some great wheelies and burnouts on my mostly stock Heritage.

JFK 03-27-2002 12:52 AM

Over the years I have owned a few bikes Mostly Harleys, In my opinion its best to leave them stock(yeah some extra chrome)When I want to go riding its what I want to do not wrenching. Besides the stcok bikes retain their value a lot better than any radical custom. Currently have a 96 FLHT (stripped down decker)

AdultWire 03-27-2002 01:59 AM

Anyone here ridden a boss-hoss? Ran into one last summer.. I'd never seen anything like it.
