Photshop Font Help

I installed a new font on my computer, HeliosCondensed Bold,HeliosCondensed Italic,HeliosCondensed BoldItalic. They appear in the fonts folder, but in Photoshop when I select HeliosCondensed I can't select bold, italic, or bold italic.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the font palette there will be a pull down for the entire font family.

If you don't see the palette, while you have your text tool selected, and are working in the text layer click ctrl+t. This will show it along with all the other palettes on the right.

I know this, the problem is that there are no options. I can't drop down the menu to select bold, italic, or bold italic.

Sometimes the fonts get split up in the list. Try scrolling all the way down, the variations may be there. If not, I'm not sure. maybe the fonts are corrupted.

Yeah, its not on the list anywhere, but it is installed and doesn't seem to be corrupted.

Try ticking the Bold t on the bottom of the type pallette. Area # 6 in that screen shot above.

That just isnt the same. I am working with a template that used the bold font very heavily. Fuckin driving me nuts. Never has this happen before.

That's odd, mine shows up (as a separate font). Try shutting down PS and restarting it.

I know this isn't really an alternative but I thought maybe it might use the variation rather than simulate it. Which version are you using? CS2? I just tried in both 7 and cs2, and in both I can pull down the vars.

Are you sure the variations (bold etc) are nowhere to be found in the list? Happens to me all the time, and I often find them at the top or the bottom of the list. Feel free to mail me the fonts if you wish, and IŽll check - cchups (at) gmail.com
