a web designer's tool
I remember a tool I thought of buying, I bet most pro photoshop guys have it:
it is a screen (functions as your computer screen) that comes with a pen, and you can draw with the pen on screen. it was about $2000. who knows what i'm talking about? |
Wacom Tablet - EDIT: Found it http://www.wacom.com/lcdtablets/index.cfm

anyone here has it? how is it? how close is it to drawing on paper? |
I've used the pad on a desk but it doesn't have a screen built in... they're pressure sensitive, it's great.
|
that's some cool stuff, even though I don't do designs i could use one of those, heh
|
anyone else?
|
yeah I know what you are talking about ... its a good tool :)
|
$2000 :| my local store was selling a similar product for $100 hehe i';ll buy one next time they are selling it and test it out

I bought the one without 'internal' screen and sold it a few days later. My hand-eye cordination isn't good enough to draw on table and watch the screen where it actually shows.. I need to buy the one where I can actually see what I draw, where I draw it.

I got mine for like 150$ and it works like a charm ! EDIT : You can't use it on a dual screen. You can only control one screen at a time! |
Our illustrators and 3D CGI guys use waccom's
|
|
I use wacom's. It was weird first time I tried the pens years ago. You just need to get used to them (sort of like using a mouse then a trackball).
|
You won't go back to a pen and paper after using one , that's for sure
You can get one as low as $100 now :D |
nice gadget...
