Internext ... Midweek or Weekend?
 

Is it just me, or did the Internext/IA2000 shows typically fall on weekdays in the past? I seem to think that it did.

I see valid points for both. Weekends mean the hotel rooms are going to be more expensive. Bars are going to be harder to rent out for private events. Restaraunts more crowded, etc. But it also robs us of our days off... and I usually need a day or two to recover after a convention. It pushes my recovery days to sunday/monday monday/tuesday.

Having it mid week... takes away a couple work days and it might be more expensive for the show organizer to rent the convention space because those might be the more desired days.

So what's the deal. Do you like shows that land Thursday/Friday/Saturday more.... or shows that land mid week/end of week???

The reason I'm thinking about this... is I just got AVN's calendar...and the summer show in florida is slotted for a Friday/Saturday/Sunday

Personally I would MUCH rather have it midweek.

I prefer weekends myself.

I like midweek so I can have my weekend to recover.

I prefer mid week, less travellers than weekends (well, except this show since CES is right smack in the middle of things).

Makes no difference to me in a direct way, although of course I prefer whatever option gives more bang for the buck.
