Anyone here with young kids?
I'm a single father with custody of a 2 year old and 6 year old. My oldest just lost a tooth just wondering what other mothers or fathers do with the teeth their kids lose? Prolly a stupid question but Hey Im still learning here.

eat them... it's good luck.
(somewhere, I'm sure.....) |
Dude
two words TOOTH FAIRY put that sucker under a pillow, and give the kid a dollar |
i dont have any kids but when i lost teeth when i was there age my parents would leave cash under my pillow while i slept and hid the teeth very well. when i was like 16 my parents showed me and my sister our full set of baby teeth minus the three i knocked out of my sisters mouth witha throttle body because she said i was mean to all our neighborhood kids.....
my :2 cents: bunky |
hehe Yea I gave him a buck 75 but what I was asking is what to do with the teeth after wards. My son was very happy he got the money hehe It's is first tooth so was wondering what other parents do with their childrens teeth :) thanks

My father told me that is what happens when you disobey your parents... that God punishes you by making teeth fall out.
I behaved for the most part. |
Hahah That's funny Labret :thumbsup
|
[Labret]: did he tell u anything about disobeying your grandparents ? :Graucho
|
My parents kept my baby teeth and I think they still have them.. it's kinda gross though running across a container and opening it up and seeing all these teeth (even if they were mine when I was a kid)
I can see how it might have sentimental value, but I have to wonder what the point is of keeping them after so long. ~~Alli |
a buck?
You cheap mo fo's You work in a multi BILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY, and all you leave the kid is a buck?? In our day that buck would go a long way. You're kid couldn't even buy a joint with that. When India, gets her teeth, and looses them her options will be, $10.00 in hand or $20.00 in the bank... her choice. (pay per sign up... or recurring rev share) (10.00 in hand.......or recurring interest) |
Well once the "tooth fairy" takes their teeth, I have a 6 and 5 year old, (s)he puts it in my wife's jewelry box so they can see it when they want....
I know, corney!:1orglaugh |
Damn thats a good idea never thought about that. well their mother left us and now is in jail <shrugs> so Guess I need to do the bank thing never even thought about that. Thanks so much guys
TOM :winkwink: |
I have a friend who said all his teeth seemed to fall out in a short period of time when he was a kid. His parents quit giving him money cuz they thought he was yanking them for the bucks :-)
|
Why are you all talking like the tooth fairy isn't real or something??
|
va2k
Make sure you are careful with those teeth, they get really brittle with age and if they are all in a bag together or something and you hit it just right, they'll crack in pieces. I didn't get to have my daughters teeth but the old man has his kids stashed somewhere here. He's the one that found out that they break easily when he dropped a baggie full and two broke. A lil superglue and his sense of humor came back. :winkwink: |
My kids teeth all went in my jewelry box too...... kids took care of that though, I had them all seperated and shit, they went ramsacking my jewelry and got them all mixed up, now no one knows whose is whose. LOL
But I always gave my kids a buck or two, and take their teeth......... |

We saved them and made a nice bracelet and earring set with them. When they graduated from high school they got them as their going away gift.
I also made the dentist fork over any that they may have yanked, like wisdom teeth. Those make great earrings. Oh yeah, when I was a kid, I got a nickel per tooth. No tooth fairy at my house, more like the tooth hobo. |
