ANNOUNCEMENT: Ebay style feedback site for the adult industry, hopefully put to use..
 

Now this isn't asking anybody to promote anything, so its not really spam..

This site can be a great tool for the industry, and will weed out a lot of shady people/companies..

A huge problem in this industry is people get scammed, then 1 month later the company is back at it scamming and people seem to have forgotten... Ebay has feedback, so buyers can look at the sellers ratings before they decide if they want to make a purchase or not. So i started a site, that will let people review companies and services..

So that in the future, if someone is considering for example, buying hosting from serverprovider, they can go look at their reviews, and see how past and current customers felt they were treated, and if it was worth the money or not.

the site is pretty bare right now... but i just paid webmaster labor to do all the data entry..

this is where you guys come in..

If there is someone in this business that you've done business with that did an outstanding job, give them props on that site...

If there is someone who took your money and ran, post it on that site so that other webmasters can be warned when looking into the companies reputation.

hmm after reviewing the site
totaly not what I was thinking it was

I thought it would be something like you create a profile
say
www.site.com/user.php?chris
and people can go to that and leave feedback and have a rating score

I did come up with the idea while looking at ebay... but i'm pretty sure i'm not the first person whos tried to have this kind of site... i dunno


either way, it can be a GREAT tool, but the only catch is you guys can't be lazy, and actually use it! lol

i thought about that, but decided against it, because if someone doesn't have a site to sell their service, theres not really a point... because people who don't know you and are browsing the site won't have any idea what product you're selling

and ronoldo: i may add a category called "People" and have everyone under there, and people can link to their own profiles and stuff in their sig...

but the only problem with that will be i have to manually add each person myself...

that could end up taking up a LOT of time

The thing is, individuals are the one who need feedback. How often do you hear about an established company screwing someone over versus an individual?

now. when someone gives a company a bad review. and that company dont want that there, what are you going to do?

how are you going to decide what is a legit review, and what isnt an attack on the company for what ever reasons?

You gotta be careful, there are lots of jealous people/competitors/haters/Canadians out there.

Also, people are more likely to comment when they have had a negative experience. That is the nature of a feedback system, so there isn't much that can be done about it.

This is very true.

One program owner could easily give shitty reviews to as much of his competition as possible.

But, like anything, if that's the case, you'd just have to filter through the bullshit...very similiar to GFY.

exactly... it would be the same thing as if an anonymous person came and started flaming a company here on GFY... if nobody knows them, and everyone else has had good experiences with them, then their review doesn't hold much weight...

but if someone is clearly trolling, i will delete them and their reviews...

but if someone has actually had a bad experience with someone, and a few people have had similar experiences and the program owner hits me up... i won't take it down... its not my place.
