Xmas is coming

...so just as I did last year I will be giving to several military families. I urge you to "adopt" a military family and give what you can. Military families are always short on cash but gifts to the children...or a turkey etc. would show your appreciation for the sacrifices they make.

AntiDrama 11-29-2005 04:09 PM

That's very nice from you; i think it's just fair to give a little bit of what we have to the people that has been having rough times. :winkwink:

Didn't the catholic church steal the winter solstice festival from the pagans, and claim the guy the jesus stories are based on was born on Dec 25th?

When he was really born in June or July?

:winkwink:

Christmas is very near, I am so excited :)

PixeLs 11-30-2005 03:10 AM

Going back to the threads topic, good idea there man. However, I think the most important gift these families could have these christmas is to have their love ones from Iraq celebrating this season with them.

That's great! I used to be a military wife and I KNOW that money can be short. Soldiers don't get paid enough at all, while the civilian contractors going over there doing the same thing get paid like 20 times more. Kinda fucked up.

Young 11-30-2005 03:38 AM

I don't know . . . I think he was talking about things that were atainable or realistic. A turkey is realistic, total withdraw by 12/25 is laughable.

It's a quaint custom in Kings country. :winkwink:

This year they just got some sanity back and are now calling a Christmas tree and Christmas tree. It was some other bullshit like a "holiday tree" or something :1orglaugh

Only took them 1 day to to occupy the county. I dont think that the US occupation forces will leave until something big happens like Lebanon.

so nice of you to do that. it really feels good when you find time to help and share some of what you have to those who really needs it.

I can assure you that if the US left today the rest of the world would be up in arms whining that we had deserted the people of Iraq.

I can assure you that you are correct and for the most part it I think it would be the same people that are demanding our withdrawal.

Don't be so sure.

The world never complained when you deserted the people of South Vietnam.

I used to think you were fairly intelligent. Excuse my error.

I guess you are too young to realize that the withdrawal from Nam was not over night.

theking 11-30-2005 11:58 PM
