PSP vs. Video Ipod question

Hey folks, just a wondering here.

The Sony PSP plays .mp4 files, as long as they follow a specific naming scheme. The Ipod plays .mp4 files. But the screen ratios are different on the two units. Can I output one video .mp4 file and have it run on both units, or do I need to convert separately for each brand?

I would if I could, but I don't own a video Ipod or a PSP. That's the thing, see. That's why I'm asking.

I dont see why you'd have to do them seperate as long as they're encoded properly.. I have a PSP, so I can test a video if you make one

If they are encoded properly :thumbsup

So the same file can be watched on both devices? Surely there is someone out there who owns both who's tested this...

I would encode separately for both.

Yeah, that's what I was wondering. Ok, good to know. :)
