Moviefreaks : Do I need to pick up War of the Worlds?
 

Didnt see it yet, its on dvd now, do I need to get it? Im not old enough to remember the radioshow, but I do know the album, if this is a worthless remake just warn me :)

I thought it was an excellent remake. It def gets my vote for ya to get it and watch it.

fucking awful boring movie

The plot isn't all that great, but it is worth watching just for the excellent atmosphere and the epic style of it.

if you're a tom cruise fan you should watch this othwerwise...well, its an OK movie.

Was not a breath taker

it is seriously one of the worst movies ever!!!
So many crap mistakes, one is that the aliens destroy ALL electic devices, until you see some guy video taping the first crater. Not one electic device is working, exept this guys camcorder, why? Did he have a magic camcorder that doesn't use electricity?

Bunch of stupid little mistakes like that...

If you're a fan of the story, ignore the movie. If you just want a decent action flick, rent it. Don't buy it.

Movie was ok, the ending was retarded though.. One of the worst endings I have ever seen...

well the story kicks ass but its 50yrs old so... ill rent it thanks :)
