question for paul markham

Not to start any drama or anything but if your content is so great, why aren't any of the big adult companies chasing you down to shoot exclusive content for them?

Couple of reasons but the main one is look at the price they pay and then think of how many sales we need to make to earn more money.

They want to buy solo girl set and video for around $300 to $400 a time. So a solo girl set is $35, set and video $60. How many sales do I need to make to cover that?

Their argument is some guy in Romania will shoot it for that price, or Shooting Maniac :1orglaugh

My argument is if they can't convert my content better than his they should stick with the other guys. However Mutt, Max Candy and especially Tim Turner do shoot very good stuff.

The other reason is they tend to want to own you. Some are actually telling the shooters that you can't shoot the girl for other companies. Seems to me I'm the boss and not them, especially as they pay so low.

I did approach a few companies at the Amsterdam Webmaster Access show and the truth is I could of got the work if I'd cut my prices. I did not and they bought elsewhere.

Another question would be. If all the shooters working for the big companies so good why are they selling so cheap?

They are not necessarily selling cheap, what is good profit for them may not be good for you

Very true.

A lot of shooters are happy to shoot for less. The non exclusive side is much more profitable, but over a much longer period. We can afford to take the long term view.

It amazes me that so many good shooters can't sell non exclusive. They even do not go the brokering route. But this makes our site stand out more, life would be a lot tougher if Mutt, Aaron, Tim Turner and others were selling non exclusive.

The SPAM gods are probably going to strike me dead with a bolt of lightning, but oh well. If you take a close look at the 2257 data for a lot of large programs, you will notice Paul's info tends to be there for most of them. There is a reason for that. He does good work, he has a ton of new and fresh models, his prices are pretty cheap.

I've bought his content in the past. I'll buy more in the future. Mkay???
