Now for a serious answer... yes there is alot of traffic on that site. Yes it is worth submitting to and buying paid spots but you better know what converts well with his traffic. Also look at the gallery design and content on his site. Don't go with a FHG or content that is seen everywhere else, It will just be a waste of time, money and bandwidth. I would suggest making your own gallery template or have one made for you and select your own content. Other than that.... just make sure your server can handle the bandwidth it's gonna get and take that into account when you figure what you can make from a listing or a paid spot |

I just checked it seems he is dutch as well, but I have never ever seen this site before, jeez it is ugly and although it may be 10 years around, it is true, it has no traffic what so ever.

lots of people i know (at least in europe) know it - its been around for along time i guess - though i agree it has a shitty lay out, but hey it has been sort of trademark for him as well...

Try some sort of hardcore extreme niche site with a fresh design and try to find unique content to fit it. Clean and easy design, minimal links, fair deal for the surfer. And have a beefy, unthrottled server, because you're gonna see large spikes.
