Luv It!

Even the new AIM has it integrated, you can listen to it there and decide for yourself.

XM Radio is pretty good. They are raising their prices though. I might move to Sirius after the first of the year though.

all i'm concerned about is whether or not it's significantly better than standard AM FM radio... i assume it is, with clearer sound and a lot more varieties, without commercials..

I have some of the XM channels on my direct tv which is good with my surround sound. I never use it. I would only get it if I were traveling alot.

Only the music channels on XM have no commercials, and by no commericials I mean they don't advertise commercial products, just other XM radio stations.

I just bought a Sirrius receiver unit today.

I got mine just for listening to Howard Stern. I've got my 20 gig iPod almost loaded, so I just take that and an FM Modulator with me wherever I go.

I had XM for about a year, then I sold my vehicle and figured that since I was starting over, I'd try something different and since Howard is coming in January, I thought what the heck.

I think that Sirius is a LOT better than XM. First of all, the signal is MUCH better on the Sirius, before with XM, I couldn't even drive through town without having it fade in and out, now with Sirius, I have no problems at all with it fading out. Hell, I can even get a signal while in my garage.

As far as channel line up, I'm big into hard rock/metal, so comparing the channels, I think that Sirius is a LOT better, they have Hair Nation (80s hard rock bands), Hard Attack (heavy metal), and Octane (today's hard music). They also have a couple of other channels like Buzzsaw and The Vault which plays some good stuff.

ALSO, don't forget about NFL football, they have EVERY game with commentary for YOUR team.

Weighing all of those options, I'm definately glad I went Sirius :)

hmm might have to add Sirus to my Xmas list this year lol :thumbsup

pro400nova 11-27-2005 12:24 PM

Been on XM for a year now and Loving it. May Switch to Sirius once it comes to Canada just to check it out. One things for sure, I'll never go back to regular Radio. My Favourite is the 24/7 stand up comedy, great for long drives.
As for fading out, never had a problem even in the tunnels in the express lanes in Seattle. But in Vancouver it fades all the time in town, because they don't have repeater towers in Canada yet as far as I know.
Overall Loving the Satellite Radio.
