The best way to clean dust from inside your computer

Just got done cleaning my computers.

The best I've found is taking it outside and pointing the yard blower at it.

Not too close, but I still put twist ties around the fans to keep them from spinning too fast and possibly breaking.

I also open the power supply and blow that out, plus use a wet paper towel on the fan in there.

those little spray air cans work wonders too, and can get the job done quicker. although your method does sound a lot more fun

I like to put it about 24 inches behind my old nova, then just bring the revs up to about 6500 and wait to here the tower fall over on to my driveway. Theres no dust left after.

A quality paint brush also works well.

Hairdryer. It bugs the piss outta my wife cos she has to buy a new one every month but it does the trick :)

But I must say, you've given me a new outlook....

I have 34 machines here and it seems like I'm doing this pretty often.

I take the machine out to the garage, remove the case, fire up my air compressor, set the regulator to 45psi and use a blower nozzle.

I also have one of those attachements for my shop vac for cleaning electronics, but it takes longer than using the air hose.

I have a vacuum with a small attachment. Works great.

What's worse is it can also create static, same goes for the vacuum :error
