I've got a new AVS site up and I'm not selling any AVS memberships despite decent promotional efforts.

What's wrong?

The design doesnt look as good as a member site tour...

Dont use so much white.. the background is ok but the way you have it looks like there are a lot of blank spots.

Put some chicks in the background and bigger pictures...

maybe use more color and less drop shadow. make links nice and clear

Let me repeat what others have already said:

The tour is all graphics, like a boring paysite tour, yet the quality simply isn't there. I would start over completely on the tour and make it more interesting, eye-catching, and unique. Also, cut down on the number of pages so the surfer gets sent to the AVS signup script faster.

Also, the content does not look appealing. Even if your site was called Shemale Goat Party it should have crisp, clear images of really hot goats getting nailed by really hot shemales. None of the images on your tour would make me want to pull out my credit card to see more.

I don't think you need to change the AVS yet because it's too early to tell if it's not converting, but make sure you sell the AVS membership on your join page. Tell the guy what he'll get as a member and what the benefits are of having an AVS pass. Right now you just have the signup script, but I feel they usually don't give enough info to the surfer to convince them to join.

It's look like a bad collection of bad pictures, the design is fine. could do with a little less white.
A badly design site of good pictures will sell, this is a good design with really crappy pictures and that wil not fool the surfer any more.
Look hard at the pictures and the woman both are very out of date. If you put the exact same design up with decent content you would be making money.

Looks like the average age of these gals is about 35. You promise crisp and clear photos, whereas the ones you show are strangely murky. That top pic on the second page looks like she's picking herself up off the pavement after falling from the fourth floor.

You seem to have no clear concept of what market you're going after, either. You're showing ugly hags and yet bragging about cheerleaders. Cheerleaders is the teen market, but there isn't a teen in sight here.

Also, if you want the teen market, it's two-pronged: there's the innocent teen and then there's the slutty teen. The innocent teen is "sweet" and the slutty one is anything but. You have the two mixed up.

While they may not be, these images have the look and feel of BAD magazine scans. They don't look the least bit recent. I'm guessing they're at least 20 years old. Am I right?

This site will NEVER make you any money because it doesn't know what it is and therefor appeals to no one in particular.

I'm saying that his tour doesn't show any evidence of delivering what it promises, that the images are pure shit, that it lacks any kind of focus on what market it's going after, and that, yes, this is a pretty clueless approach to putting up an adult site.

Also, he should know that you can subsist on traffic from your AVS alone. You might get a brief rush at first, but after that it's a trickle.

That is an AVS site built well. I'm not just saying that because the girls are asian.
Black, white, gay, fetish... anything, would do fine with that design.
I'm not telling you to copy, but make your AVS more like a tour at a membership site.

Your AVS looks too much like a gallery you could see for free. I think most people would view your pics then leave. Waste of bandwidth.

The entrance page isn't bad at all. you might want to make the shape take up more to the left and right of it and place it down some on the page.

Instead of having mad free pictures, why not find the hottest girls, extract them and put them inside your shape. and link maybe 2 or 3 pictures each on a page instead of 16 at once.

At the top of the second page the girl you extracted on the banner looks a bit squished when she got scaled down. and maybe add some element like a line of frame around that page to bring it all together.

The big graphic at the index page (index_01.jpg) is 66Kb. This results in long waiting times for your visitors when they enters your page. People will close your page because they don't see anything.

Split the big graphic into smaller pieces. Most design software can do this task for you.

first i don't know your traffic resources but i am gonna guess that it's tgp traffic or similar. so im gonna do a short review from an
experienced surfers viewpoint.
ok i click and goto your site. that big ass fucking graphic is slow as hell and i am already tired of waiting so i left.
scenario 2. im a tgp surfer i come to your site and wait on the bigass graphic and what do i see, netverifier login? shit this must cost money to see this porn and i leave once again.
scenario 3 ok i take a chance to see more and like everyone else said that second page is scary and slow as hell so i leave. no wait i take one more chance and waaalaa free sample pics cool!
now i click every damn one and leave. no wait there is one more page i go look at it and read the speal from net v and think naw i have a checking account but no cc
now from a webmasters point of view.
there is no reason to make avs sites look like paysites unless they are gold sites imho that you are going to be promoting the hell out of from regular avs sites.
your second page i could build with little or no graphics and look as good or better and would sure be alot faster.
there is no need to give away full size sample pics if you use 150x150 thumbs. which proves to me that my tgp3 concept works
none of my avs sites have full size samples and i do well with avs.
your script page says nothing about what an avs service is really for and thats protecting children from accessing adult sites. nor does the net v script which i think sucks. compare their script to cyberage and what they say on it. read that and use it.
the one thing i suck at the most in this business is design. i have no graphics skills. i build butt ugly sites that all look alot the same.
i use the same ending text on my script page where i review what my site offers along with the avs extras. also at this time i throw in a bit of a guilt trip about protecting YOUR children from accessing porn.
i will end with this, i do no link trades none on my avs sites. i rely solely on search traffic and my own internal traffic. i don't do plain old vanilla pussy sites. i template the hell out of everything from my search engine work to my site layouts.
so i advise that you step back and pause for just a second and read my sig line.

Use better text. Plus the content is not teasing enough. Use thumbs that are a bit larger with white backgrounds in the pic
