What is your screen resolution?
Do ANY webmasters/affiliates/etc. still actually use 800x600?
Doubt it.
I doubt it either, based off looking at stats countless times a day for god knows how many years now, I think 1024x728 is surfer standard. As far as webmasters go though, mine personally is much higher.
If i were designing a website for webmasters, it'd definitley be optimized for 1024 wide. Very few still use 800, and people building webpages in 1024 might just be the kick in the ass they need to upgrade. It's actually a bit annoying to arrive at a webmaster page where space is at a premium and they've optimized for 800, when you consider just how few people still use it.

I still develop for 800x600, but I currently use 1280x1024.
The last time I saw some hard numbers on surfer screen res, I found that 70% of users would be able to see a site developed for 1024x768, with the remaining 30% using 800x600. For the past couple years, new computers have come with a default of 1024x768, so that will be the standard soon. >800x600 is the majority today, and the numbers are decreasing. |
1280x1024
I don't develop for anything under 1024x768. I currently use 1280x1024 with my l33t 19" LCD. :)

1280x1024 - the native resolution for 19" LCD
Cool, we're doing a new "standard" template set for NATS to include. We're going to build it for 1024 i think.
800x600 is the history.
1280x1024 is the standard these days. |

I have one screen on 800x600. Makes it easier to do reviews and design :)
used it only on web design, to see what it looks like.
I think we should all drop 800x600 and start using 1024 as standard. That way we can actually force surfers to make the right move instead of waiting another couple of years for it to happen.
1600x1200 here, I was kinda forced into it when I bought my monitor and didn't realize that I was kinda forced into it because of it's ratio, but once I got used to it, I LOVE it.
