What Is The Best Full Sized SUV On The Market?

I am exploring the option of leasing a full sized 7 passenger SUV. My picks right now are the Cadillac Escalade ESV, GMC Denali and Infiniti QX56. I need a big truck as I have a 3 year old and another baby on the way! Plus we have a ski chalet and need room to carry stuff up with us. Plus I play hockey and snowboard so I could use the room.

What do you guys think? Am I overlooking anything? I'm kind of leaning towards the Escalade...

The Escalade is nice. Rage Rovers are a bit nicer but you have to give up a little space for that quality, not much though.

Go with a navigator, ive owned both a denali and escalade but I miss the navigator the most

buddyjuf 11-24-2005 07:18 PM

I am currently looking at mid sized SUVs, especially the Murano and the FX35

PimpDaddyPants 11-24-2005 07:23 PM

Mark,

Go with the infinity man ;)

cadillac is nice too

Minte 11-24-2005 07:45 PM

GM could use the sale.

I LOVE the new Range Rover Sport, however it doesn't suit my needs. I already have a BMW X5 which is approximately the same size. :(

DH - I was pretty strong on my first suggestion, hopefully I can help again :)

The Infiniti has a wonderful powertrain, but that's about it. The vehicle is put together VERY poorly. Large hunks of plastic that squeak like crazy! It ranked the WORST (of all vehicles) in initial quality by JD Power & Associates.

If you can't wait until Feb of '06 for the new Denali or Escalade (which would be my highest recommendation) I would go with a heavily discounted Navigator (you can get a loaded one for about $54,000) or a Lexus LX 470. The outgoing Denali is amazing, but with the new one only 3 months out I can't suggest it (well except waiting for the new).

Yeah the Infiniti is definetly very nice and I have been a big fan of my 2006 Infiniti M45 Sport. There aren't very many of the QX56's around here, alot of Nissan Armadas though.

Haha I only have 3 cars currently

A Infiniti M45 Sport, a BMW X5 4.4i and an Audi S4 Quattro (which is currenly in Autotrader BTW).

I leased a 2006 Honda Ridgeline for my property management business just recently. :)

Nooo DH, I'm not talkin about the sport. The full sized Range is the one.

But as Marc said, If you can wait for the '06 Escalade definitely do that. I am. ;)

Marc, I should just have you on speed dial for all my new vehicle purchases. LOL!

MFM and I both bought Infiniti M45 Sports on your recommendation. We were laughing about it on the way to the Playboy Mansion.

"If Marc De says it's good, well fuck you just have to buy it! LOL! A guy with that many cars can't be wrong!"

I don't think the RR will work. I have a new RR Supercharged and its AWESOME, however, its only a 5 seater and I think he said he wanted a 6-7 passenger. The '07 Escalade is amazing! I can't wait to get one, of course it'll be later in '06 as the navigation is "delayed option" - DAYUM that pisses me off...

haha - well I'm glad you show me that deference! :) I really need to get out to more industry events... I haven't been "around" for a few years. How was that PB Mansion party anyways?

I am not good in cars but I would go for Escalade.

Sneezy 11-24-2005 10:17 PM

save yourself some money and put a cargo/ski box on your BMW :2 cents:

Sosa 11-24-2005 11:02 PM

escalade or Denali. Can't go wrong with either of them.

tony286 11-24-2005 11:03 PM

I say go with your first choice the escalade. Now can anyone tell me why it's good to lease a vehicle over buying? Just wondering thanks.
