I think its safe to say that horrible 1:6000 period is over

At least i hope so.

Since 6 or 7 days im doing 10 times better than the whole of last month.

This week im averaging 1:700. Actually most days are 1:500 atm but i had one day doing 1:1500 so that kinda distorts the overall ratio.

I hope things stay this way. I dont mind a little fluctuation but come one...doing 1:800 or anything a little below or above that for 5 years and then suddenly 1 morning you wake up and its going from 1:1000 to 1:5000 to in its wort period 1:8000 is simply insane. It lasted for a month. I almost applied for Burger King. And then now suddenly since a week everything is back to normal again.

Odd...very very odd. Never ever had anything like that in all those years online.

Well...im happy. Doing 1:378 so far today. Raw. So maybe 1:300 uniques. :)

Violetta 11-24-2005 10:50 AM

good to hear! Its slow for me today :(

I would imagine sales will be down for everyone today considering its a holiday, no?

Dirty F 11-24-2005 10:52 AM

Done...sorry for the delay.

Dalai lama 11-24-2005 10:54 AM

You know what...people have tons of different theories. Holidays, summer slowdown, christmas slowdown, this and that. Monday good, tuesday bad etc. In the end its often unexplainable what causes sudden ratio fluctations...at least for me...

ANY clue what causes my ratios to go 1:6000 and then back to 1:500 after a month? I dont.

I was really worried yo. I saw my income decrease with like 75%....that was very scary. But all that time i couldnt imagine that it would stay that way. And so far i was right.

xclusive 11-24-2005 10:56 AM

Glad to hear it man very strange roller coaster for my stats as of late as well

BradM 11-24-2005 10:58 AM

Did you start promoting a stable sponsor... change anything at all? Or did it fix itself?

Dirty F 11-24-2005 10:58 AM

And one good thing came out of it. I signed up for like 15 or 20 new sponsors...more in 3 weeks than normally in 3 years and i found some really well converting new ones...at least new for me...Im gonna give it another month and then dump 75% of them and keep the top perfoming sponsors. Im already having a good clue which ones are :)

3 words: Amateur, pregnant and ass :)

squizzel 11-24-2005 11:00 AM

opposite for me, my earnings are down 20% this month at least

Im sending traffic to bunches of new sponsors now yes....not sending 1 sponsor a lot but im deviding it. So they basically get equal traffic. This will give me pretty good stats and trends in 1 or 2 months...it does now already but too early to judge really. But im certainly seeing some niches perform better than others.

One site is amazing me. Maybe too early to tell, not much signups but so far 1:200 raw.

yeah shit is odd man.

Look, i am and was promoting sponsors many people do. I send all kinds of traffic and still i did 1:6000 while other people were doing 1:500 with those sponsors in the same period. I wish i could tell you whats wrong in your case but thats basically impossible.

wedouglas 11-24-2005 11:15 AM

These last two days have been awful. Im hoping its just a holiday buzz thing...

Then it must be the reverse schedule for me. I was doing pretty ok this month but yesterday 1:10,000 for all CCBill sites, and today doesn't look much better. Seems they have switched on the other half of the affiliates now :winkwink: . Getting used to it though. I'm constantly on 1:1,200 accross all CCBill sites but 2 or 3 times a month it's completely f... up.

Reading your and mr kentucky's reply one would almost think they indeed scrub certain accounts for a few weeks and then move on the next group of accounts haha. That would be crazy. But it would explain things :)

Furious_Male 11-24-2005 11:35 AM

Glad to hear. I am getting my ass kicked this week across the board. I am hoping for a big bounce back this weekend to make up for it.

Ross 11-24-2005 11:39 AM

Doesn't mean you're not a flikker anymore. Just a flikker with lots of money!

Martin 11-24-2005 12:43 PM

Whenever I have crappy conversion days, I always remind myself of this story: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...ixnewstop.html

People WILL buy shit as long as it is marketed RIGHT!

Hang in there, Franck. Things will turn up!

Nicky 11-24-2005 11:59 PM

Ive had good ratios this month so far, last few days its been abit slow though

Rob 11-25-2005 12:01 AM

Was it a trend? Did you go over your logs from previous years to see if it was the same year after year or was it just a fluke?

I love researching trends and go over my books as if they were religious documents and I was a Catholic scribe.

Doctor Dre 11-25-2005 12:04 AM

My conversions are up a lot too... finally ... I've had really bad ratios on targetted SE traffic... thoses blogs are finally starting to pay up ;)

im coming over from mainstream, where we do our own processing (authorize.net, and the like).. i cant/wont buy that the cycles are this choppy in adult. there are other issues at play, on some level. some of my mainstream products are just as useless/disposable-income-dependent as porn, and they dont flux nearly as much..

Sosa 11-25-2005 08:24 AM

DutchTeenCash 11-25-2005 08:32 AM

Good to hear. Ratios are certainly better last weeks.

Brad Mitchell 11-25-2005 08:39 AM

There's always that "Add sales" function that most programs have the option of using. LOL

Brad

AZNNC 11-25-2005 10:03 AM

I'm going through this now :(
Started off the month super strong. Last week was my best ever since I entered the industry a year and a half ago. I did 1:500 ratios on all ccbill traffic + wicked on other sponsors too. Then this week I actually bought 16,000 niched traffic hits and even with all those hits delivered I'm doing 1/3rd of the sales I did last week with no extra traffic. 1:1400 all sponsors ccbill. 0:3200 allready today. :(

Dirty F 11-25-2005 10:54 AM

Yesterday i ended at 1:450....today im at 1:400. Woot.
