My cat is missing.

He got out last night and still hasn't come back, I've been up most of the night looking for him with no luck so today if you all could keep your fingers crossed that he'll show up I would appreciate it.

:(

TurboAngel 11-24-2005 10:47 AM

He liked GFY.

loverboy 11-24-2005 10:56 AM

he will be back after thanksgiving, probably some gathering of some
group of cats celebrating a few meats of turkey

FreeOnes 11-24-2005 11:00 AM

I hope he will be back to you soon
Good luck!

Marcus Aurelius 11-24-2005 11:00 AM

In all seriousness though, im sure your kitty will be fine. I've had cats dissapear for 2 weeks and show back up on the doorstep.

TurboAngel 11-24-2005 11:05 AM

Thanks everyone, I have gotten sick and now I'm just in tears. I wish he would just come home now.

:waaaaahh :waaaaahh :waaaaahh

lazycash 11-24-2005 11:23 AM

Hope Stodghill didn't feed it to his dogs.

Donny 11-24-2005 11:26 AM

He's seriously just out looking for his own Thanksgiving dinner! Some nice warm birdie will do. Then he'll be back to place the birdie's head on your porch as a gift.

(I think it's so funny when cats do that...)

JamesK2 11-24-2005 11:27 AM

My cat has ran away many times. They always come back, don't worry :)

HpicAnn 11-24-2005 11:35 AM

Has he done this before? I had a cat and i would be as worried as you if he dissapear :(

Furious_Male 11-24-2005 11:40 AM

I wouldn't sweat it much. My VERY timid house cat got out last year. She was gone for a month in the dead of winter. Snow was drifting over 4 feet etc. Besides being very thin and feral at first she was fine.

I kept putting food out for her. A few other cats were eating it as well but after laying one of my coats out I noticed her fur (they usually stay within 1-5 houses).

I finaly got a baby monitor and put it outside by the food so I could hear her eat. She came one night but was Feral as hell and ran away. I cracked the garage door open just a bit and grabbed the remote. Threw some food in there. Heard her again and hit the remote on the door and trapped her at 3am.

Good fun.

Vitasoy 11-24-2005 11:50 AM

Sorry to hear, I hope you find him

Sam Granger 11-24-2005 11:53 AM

Does he go out often or not? Maybe call local animal shelters and ask if he's been taken in. But, he might be back soon. I've had loads of cats and sometimes, one stays away for a few days and come back.

fl_prn_str 11-24-2005 11:55 AM

Dalai lama 11-24-2005 11:56 AM

Well that's a nice thing to say.

I have walked up the road so I know he didn't get hit by a car so I just hope he's home when we get back from dinner. I don't feel like going out today but it's T-Day and my friends have been cooking all day.

amandaspost 11-24-2005 12:10 PM

Hope he comes back real soon. Couple years back we lost our cat for 3 weeks, then luckly found her sitting in the bushes in our front yard. Good luck finding him!

TurboAngel 11-24-2005 01:53 PM

Thank you all he just started knocking on the door and he'll never go outside again that's for sure. I'm so happy he came home.

PS. is it bad that I yelled at him? He sure wouldn't tell me where he was.

I lost my cat a few weeks ago.... he came back when it was dark.......... glad you found yours

PixeLs 11-24-2005 07:27 PM

Good thing she's home now. If she's been with you for quite awhile now then she will always find her way home; unless, something bad has happened to her.

Diego 11-24-2005 07:40 PM

Hah! so good to hear the ending was good. Cats will be cats...sigh.

reed_4 11-25-2005 01:20 AM

If in case you still haven't found your cats, check out the nearest chinese restaurant they may have included your cats here...

Most cats come back on their own in a couple of days.

You should read the whole thread before you reply.

nicchick 11-25-2005 06:00 PM

Ya never know. I've had cats who got out but were never seen again. But had one several years ago who was gone for 7 months and just showed up at home one day. Good luck.

Babagirls 11-25-2005 06:22 PM

This thread totally cracks me up...just like cats don't give a shit about what we think or do for them...so do people. Nevermind that you found your cat already...we're just shooting litter off our back feet now....

prime 11-25-2005 10:40 PM

my cat was missing for about a month. I called the animal shelters weekly and finally they called me back because someone turned him in. He was 18 when that happened and he never went outside his entire life.

I totally gave up hope, and I have no idea how he survived in the winter. But he can't be happier now that he's back.
