It's a celebration of when we stole the land from the indigenious Indians and symbolic of the last feast we had with them before we slaughtered them, put them onto reservations, and forced them to gamble.

It's also an excuse to get 2 days off of work and eat like the gluttons we are. Oh happy days. :thumbsup
