There are some pics kicking around of the Muslim communities in Holland with building and buildings covered with dishes like that. There was a documentary on TV back in the summer about the extremist muslim movement living in the muslim communities there.

FTA need bigger dishes .... Also, the bigger dish allows to install more lnb's on each dish to increase the numer of satellites tuned in.
