I recently purchased a Fujitsu laptop which I dearly love and am having a little problem with it. When I turn the power on....I hear a clicking noise coming from the CD player. Is it possible that the computer is trying to read a CD when it boots up? I usually just open the CD and then close it and the sound goes away. Any thoughts?
Laptop question.....

I just checked out my BIOS and looked at the boot order and here's what it says:
+Floppy Disc Drive
+Hard Disc Drive
CD-Rom Drive
Is this the normal lineup? The noise that I'm hearing is definently coming from the CD player and not the floppy drive which is on the other side of the computer from where the noise is coming from???Comment

Boot order seems fine.
Just do not leave a CD in the ROM when the machine is powered off.
Ya got no CD in the ROM when ya boot or is there one?
I have seen this before on a couple laptops. SOme reason the the ROM continues to cycle when the Machine is powered up if a disk is in it.
But a clicking sound?
