how to make hq thumbs?
 

I saw some tgps with great hq thumbs like:

Impressive thumbs wow! I think this thumbs was made in photoshop by hand. I try to make similar quality like this thumbs but i dont know yet how to do it. I think that they use blur tool or guassian blur to skin to make this very soft glamour look. It cant be all blured beacuse eyes mouth hair is sharpen. So i try blured skin and than sharpen, fade 50% and increase brightness and contrast. It dont look great i see different colors. In hq thumbs are very nice colors like with make up cause in big original images of this thumbs colors are much different.

Now i think that maybe these thumbmakers use other tool than blur maybe mask guassian blur and change colors manually or ...

Do u have some experienced how to make hq thumbs like in these tgps? Thumbs like that must have great productive.

It's easy photoshop work. Try google and 'photoshop tutorials' ...

I as surfer don't like these strange thumbnails. I think it pisses of surfer when he enter hosted gallery and see girl that doesn't look like the girl on the thumb :((

i tried do thismooth looking thumbs: Photoshop:

-duplicate whole image as layer
-make selection from face (without eyes, hairs)
-on duplicated layer use -> filter bloor
-set transparency cca 60%
-try play with color

result is good :)

Yes those tips will get you nice thumbs.

yup that's basically a good start at getting that glam look. dodge tool also is useful for skin highlights and whitening the eyes - teeth whitening i do with Hue Saturation

also look for a set of filters called flaming pear. Aetherize will do that effect nicely.

i know now how to make this hq thumbs, its all playing on masks making skin blured and using curves and adjustments to change colors to more golden color but it also depend on model skin and lights.

those are clean ass thumbs

personally I don't like thumbs like this - they look really fake to me... clear good quality thumbs are much much better IMO

I've noticed you're offering thumb cropping service for a really low price, even tho your samples are far from those you like. Cheap enough anyway, I charge 20/25 times that myself. But of course, I can do the kind of thumbs you like.

This being said, I just will add I don't like that kind of thumbs for the same reason a few people explained, very antinatural, but if you want them, we make them :thumbsup

as you can see, skin softer, eyes, mouth, eyebrows, eyelashes and hair enhanced, mouth redish, teeth whitened, make-up corrected. That will give you an idea on how to work this kind of thumbs. With good quality photos is a snap, this took like 10 mins

haha 10 minutes lol To one thumb.
I make one thumb 2-3minutes i think if it look fake it isnt good thumb. Way to make clean but not fake is make opacity to example 80% in mask with blur and add some noise.

Next thing is to not make guassian blur to much and dotn blur any edges of nose eyes. I will post later some mine thumbs so u could rate it.

Anyone can offer such a service for a huge quantity of thumbs?

I use the following tools, you guys can figure out the settings.

The smudge tool to blend pixels.

The match color feature under image, then I use the luminance to brighten the image, works better than the Brightness tool in my opinion because it doesn't "dull" the thumbs.


I like using the sharpen tool instead of the filter, gives you more control over certain parts of the thumb to sharpen.


Get to know the Levels controls....Using the "Set white point" on the thumb can make an awesome improvement. Play with it.


Then then obvious, color balance, hue/saturation, contrast....Once in awhile I use the burn tool to make the girls lipstick stand out, our the Dodge tool on green/blue eye to make them stand out and look brighter/lighter.


I do not use all of these on one thumb, each thumb is different, just takes tons of practice.

Ok i made some thumbs, u can compare now how thumb change, is it still too fake? IMO looks much better. What do u think?
