someone gimme a weight training tip that works
I usually train with weights 3 days a week at home I am away and I have not much to do for a few weeks and some weights and a multigym near so I'd like to step it up a bit
|
push-ups and situps every night... ;)
|

Advice #1. Get off your computer and out of your house, hopefully into the gym.
Advice #2. If you have miraculously taken advice #1 successfully, get a gym membership, and perhaps a personal trainer for the first month or two to show you the ropes. Advice #3. This is for the non computer nerds that happen to take advice 1 and 2. Eat lots of protein, eat complex carbs, do a lot of cardio, and try to eat 5-6 small meals a day. |
i don't see why people go all out with excercising. i do pushups and situps everynight and fuck the shit outta my girlfriend. those three simple things are plenty of a workout and keep me in great shape. but then again i'm sure its pretty hard if you're some fatass dude...
|
StickyGreen speaks the truth, just do tons of them pushups and situps. If you need to lose mad weight, you need to start WALKING or RUNNING.

Also - drink a lot of water every day. At least 64 ounces. More if you don't mind pissing a lot. If you usually eat too much at a single meal, here's a tip: eat a small handful of almonds (about 10) about 30 minutes before meal-time. Wash them down with two 8 ounce glasses of water. The fibers in the almonds will swell and you won't be very hungry for dinner. |
Eating the 5 to 6 meals a day is one of the major things. Also do opposite muscle groups, to help maintain flexability.

i already do all that shit pretty much I was after like a tip like for training hard for 2 weeks

well judging from the pix i see of webmaster gatherings i think aerobics are more necessary than weight training for many.
some good advice in this thread. i am partial to heavy power bicycling for about 40 minutes 7 days a week. this burns about 400 cal/day and keeps me with a swimmer's build. for webmasters who spends hours daily sitting at a computer aerobic type exercise is best for total health---and also watch your diet because it will affect your mood and creativity. no time to write a novel here. raw food as much as possible, omega3 fat (walnuts, flaxseed, etc) oatmeal, limit sugars, high fructose corn syrup, trans fats, and try to get some protein with each little meal you have. eat lots of fruits and vegetables (raw). the tip about a handful of almonds is good, but remember count the calories, a handful for some of you big guys can be 500 calories. good luck. to stay fit is not an easy task, it requires work, and that's why most of you will never be fit...but if you are it is a blessing. |
do a cycle (juice it baby!) good diet, lots of cardio
worked for me! cant wait to do it again |
go 3 weeks just doing one set per body part till failure. a body part a day.
Its a good shock to the system. I got that from dorian yates book back when i used to train. It works.. Duke |
Duke that's terrible advice.. Let this guy tell us what exactly he is shooting for, so I can be of more assistance. I'm a gym buff so yea...
|
lots of joggin in the morning and afternoon and watch your diet.
|
consistency, a healthy diet. and you'll watch your body change in 4 months.

find a buddy and do some negatives - if you work out alone normally, then you cant do this properly alone ... so since youll be in a gym - over fucking load just make sure spotter is not a retard.
|
diet and exercise requires lots of discipline, each compliment each other.
http://www.bodybuilding.com/ tons of stuffs about building the desired body shape :smokin |
I joined a gym two weeks ago. My buddy just signed up so we can workout together. It's open 24 hours and it's usually empty.
I also started spreading my meals out and running. I better see some fucking results. As soon as I started working at home full time I gained like 30lbs... This life sucks. :) There was a good thread on here some time back from some dude that last a bunch of weight. I think it had a lot of good advice in it: http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=359681 |

Make sure that you're constantly changing your routine if you want to see results.
|
Make it a serious workout dude. Don't stop or slow down until you see noticeabl changes.

If you don't go to the gym much just get in there. Stay in for about 30 minutes. Do something hard.
Yeah, it's that simple. Just going is the hardest part for most people. |

I lost 10 lbs. in 2 months eating like this. I also work with a trainer who has me working on standard machines, but not going through the full range of motion for that specific machine. Shortening up the range of motion works different muscles that going the full range. Its made a huge difference in my body. |
Watch your diet and make sure you spend time at the gym regularly.

Read about CREATINE, then START TAKING IT, drink lots of water eat lots of eggs and use free weights as well as machines...works for me :2 cents:
|
Do deads, squats and bench. Basically any compound exercises, but those are kinda like the holy trinity. Do them light to get a feel for the exercise, then after a couple of light workouts, go at them heavy.
I also love dips and pullups/chinups. |
Pump hard, and eat good.
