MSN Search > Google
MSN Search > Google for me
The amount of MSN Search hits I've been receiving lately has been uber surprising! Anybody else notice this lately or is no one else checkign their logs? <spam>Check my sig for quality SE traffic</spam> |
msn indexes pages at lightspeed nowadays, im happy thus far :thumbsup
|
yeah, i just noticed this last week....I am flying high in msn, but google is being all tricky and shit
i don't think google updates nearly enough either...my msn results constantly change, but google changes like once a week/month and shit |
I and fellow bloggers (heart) MSN
|
MSN indexes my new pages within 24 hours.
Google is fucking up their results by implenting insane penalities for things like linking to sites it don't like and not counting sites that link to each other or not letting a site rank high because it's new. It's getting to be a bit much. Now they are talking about having traffic influence it and the age of links - basicly they are finding more ways to make sites like amazon come up more frequently in the results which is what they need to get away from |

I am actually getting more traffic on my blog from google than MSN. but my paysites are getting more MSN.
|
Simply put MSN returns MUCH better results these days if you compare it to Google over a wide range of subjects and terms. It has a little more spam but that is more than offset by MSN's far superior relevance.
Google's witchhunt on all things SEO will be it's death as far too many relevant sites get caught up in it (not to mention that many heavily SEO'd sites are also very, very relevant). Eventually the public will realise too unless Google starts to improve or MSN goes the Google route. The only problem is that 'eventually' is the keyword. :( |
these days I get about 20 times more traffic from msn than from google, about 7 times more traffic from yahoo than from google. Also msn traffic converts better than google traffic.
|
I always got more clicks from MSN than from Google...
|
I'm getting mostly Yahoo lately.
From my server stats for one of my sites for the last couple hours: Yahoo Searches: 5526 Google Searches: 242 MSN Searches: 243 AltaVista Searches: 293 |
interesting...

It is interesting that you post this because yesterday was the first day I ever had more MSN than Google search hits. MSN ranks me very high on almost everything I am targeting for while with Google it seems to be hit or miss.
|
I get the most hits from MSN too.
|
I still get way more on my sites from Google regardless. If I have a #1 on all 3, I'll get 70% from Google. Either way, MSN does provide better results than Google now.
|
Msn is peanuts guys, why brag about 200-300 hits a day.

Say you have 148 websites... 148 x 300 = 44k per day :helpme |
Everyday I google search. :thumbsup

MSN
Yahoo Stay on track with these they and get usable traffic. :winkwink: MSN is good but they our digging them selves out of a hole. If they ran the new technology under a new name they would be much more of a player. |

Lots of traffic or not - Google is still fucking up it's relevant search. 90% of the time I click "cache" when surfing google to find what I'm looking for because 90% of the page has nothing to do with it. |
The only thing I really like about google is their ability to catch misspellings
