A Correction and an Apology
 

To all our colleagues and associates who contacted me about this inaccurate posting, and to the entire GFY community, I offer this public correction and apology.

The vender who originally posted this announcement falsely identified the Daddy Oohhh! Productions catalogue as barebacking titles. Let me assure all of you, nothing could be farther from the truth. We scrupulously adhere to all safer sex practices during the production of our content. We have not filmed unsafe sexual practices in the past and we will never do so in the future!

I've been working in the sex field for nearly 30 years, predominately as a therapist. I've been involved in all sorts of sex education and sexual enrichment projects, so I thought it would be a challenge to bring a fresh, healthier perspective to adult entertainment.

My commitment to this exercise is one of excellence through a fundamental sense of personal and professional ethics. We do projects that celebrate sexuality, not denigrate it. Daddy Oohhh! Productions wants to replace what has somehow gone missing from porn lately; the romantic, alluring and seductive aspects of sex. We remedy this by putting the playfulness back into sex play, and doing so with wit, style and a sense of humor. I assume that this will also strike a successful cord with all sex positive people.

The vendor responsible for the initial posting also misrepresented the production dates of our films. The eight films featured in his advertisement were NOT all produced in 2005. Rather they reflect the work we have been doing for the last 5 years.

The vender did, however, correctly identify our catalogue as award winning, even though he couldn't quite identify what award it was. For the record, Daddy Oohhh! Productions was named the "Best Gay Video Series" for 2004 by the West Coast Sex-Positive Culture Awards.

To all our colleagues and associates and to the entire GFY community, I offer my apology for any misunderstanding this unfortunate incident may have caused. I take responsibility for not working closely enough with this new vendor to make sure he got his promotional copy correct and accurate.

In his defense, I believe I can say his actions were inadvertent. He is brand new to the gay marketplace and is unversed in the hot button issues of the day. If he is to be faulted, it is only for his zealousness in rushing to market without checking his facts. The resulting firestorm of controversy has instilled in me an acute awareness of the importance of vetting a new vendor before entrusting him with my products and the sterling reputation of our company.
