would you admit to liking country music?

Or am I the only one who is comfortable in ones self to admit to it ?

I listen to country 99% of the time.

Yeehaw.

sickkittens 11-20-2005 10:36 PM

Old stuff isn't that bad. New stuff sucks IMO.

Chris 11-20-2005 10:41 PM

I enjoy early 90's country way more than the new stuff i agree
but alot of stations down here in texas still play the 90's stuff

Chris 11-20-2005 10:41 PM

2000+ country is all pop it seems

chadglni 11-20-2005 10:45 PM

I listen to whatever I like which happens to include some country, rap, pop, rock, metal, emo etc. People who label anything then shun all that falls under that label are like 15 year old girls buying the cool shoes to fit in.

jollyperv 11-20-2005 10:46 PM

New country is shit, but it's still 200 times better than any given faggot rapper.

SilentKnight 11-20-2005 11:00 PM

Country 'n classic rock :thumbsup

badmunchkin 11-20-2005 11:01 PM

no, cuz I honestly don't like it

Downtime 11-20-2005 11:03 PM

i dont mind it, and some of it i actually enjoy.

I hate country music except for Johnny Cash.

Donny 11-20-2005 11:32 PM

I love it.

Scootermuze 11-21-2005 12:26 AM

I was in the music bidness for lots of years in the country arena.. Rubbed shoulders with some of the biggies at the time.. Still listen to it when the radio's on.. It's changed a bit as does most music..

Classic rock is more to my liking.. some of it keeps the memories alive..

Bus Stop always throws me back to my teen years when I hear it..

But the country is still on the tuner :)

BigBen 11-21-2005 12:46 AM

I'll admit it, country music is good stuff.

Nothing wrong with some old country tunes, but I cant say I listen to new stuff on radio etc. I tried, while driving cross country - but I wound up turning that shit off. It was like new country top 40 and I couldn't get into it. That being said - if you enjoy it, more power to ya. Who gives a fuck what anyone else says?

I like all kinds of music, I dont give a shit what it's called, or if it's "cool" or not.

Violetta 11-21-2005 07:38 AM

some country can be very cool!

SykkBoy 11-21-2005 10:11 AM

I like the old school shitkicker stuff...

Mutt 11-21-2005 10:16 AM

i don't know who i'm listening to but sometimes i'll watch the country music video channels and I like it - both old school country and the new pop sounding stuff. i'm not a musical snob - i listen to everything.

i love Randy Travis' voice - he's the only country artist I own CD's of - and Amy Grant cuz i used to love her.

i'll buy some Johnny Cash CD's soon.

Maxy 11-21-2005 01:33 PM

Hank Williams is always listenable. But i'm outta there as soon as that honky tonk vibe comes in hard.

Pandemos 11-21-2005 01:43 PM

The nearest I will go to country is watching a Shania Twain video. She's a purty gurly.

wallst 11-21-2005 01:44 PM

country music is the shit.

Nicky 11-21-2005 01:46 PM

Id never admit it since i dont like it that much....

ronaldo 11-21-2005 01:48 PM

I can't stand country music BUT, Toby Keith does have a couple of funny fuckin' videos to watch.

"As good as I once was" and "I want to talk about me" are hilarious.

adultchica 11-21-2005 01:49 PM

While alternative rock, hip hop, and classic rock are my favorites.......I do like Toby Keith, Gretchen Wilson and a few other country artists. The old school country is cool too. Hank Williams Sr. and Jr. both awesome.

Ecksent 11-21-2005 01:58 PM

I just watch the videos on Mute.

nebula 11-21-2005 02:43 PM

I can't stand 99.99% of country. The only stuff I'd say I like is The Supersuckers: Must've been live and GG Allin: Carnival of excess.

Maxy 11-21-2005 02:45 PM

I like gram parsons's tunes, does that count as country?

PixeLs 11-21-2005 10:30 PM

I am more prticular with the artists; I like Shania Twain and Kenny Rogers songs.

Rochard 11-21-2005 10:32 PM

I don't like country music. However, with that said..... This past weekend I went to a friend's birthday party in San Diego. She loves country music, and made it a point of bringing us to a number of country bars. Being a total outsider I was highly entertained by the dancing. It's much more erotic than I would have imagined.

je_rome 11-23-2005 12:13 AM

depends on the artist. I like garth brooks and vince gill.
