Have you ever felt the Rush???
Of Skydiving!!! If you haven't I HIGHLY recommend it!!
I just did my 1st jump and it was the shit!!!! |
Congrast Wizzo, the second jump is the best...the first you don't really know what happens....the second you do.....getting out of the plane again.....that ROCKS!!!!

I will probley do my 2nd and 3rd this weekend....:winkwink:
|
I've never been YET,
Did you jump solo or tandem?? I always worried about drifting fifteen miles away and landing on someone BBQ grill or in a high voltage electrical generation plant. RD |
I jumped 6 times when I was in the army.....(static line, solo) Luckely we were using squares....those round parachutes from the old days are dangerous man! Stay away from those....
First time I pulled the flaps (to break) too soon.....I dropped at least 2 meters down like a brick....but when you got your timing right you won't feel a thing hehehe DynaMite :thumbsup |
damn Wizzo..
i thought you were talking about grabbing Geddy Lee's ass.. Come to think of it you do look a bit like him now....both of you with short hair and all... :Graucho |
Fuck dat!!!

As far as drifting you actually have quite abit of control over the chute, I was suprised!:winkwink: |
... if you want the real rush, next time you jump do it without parachute !!
|
Wizzo.. i think im too scared to ever sky dive... did you have any fears?
|
I just don't get the logic of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane :ticking
|
I haven't logged jumps in over a year, but have video footage of every single one.. over a 1,000 for sure. Before I got into this biz, I was a freefly instructor and free fall cameraman for 3 years traveling around and living on drop zones. The hardest decision I had to make all day long was whether I was going surfing (cloudy) or freeflying (sunny).
I also have a record for having the lowest amount of jumps to ever pass an atmosphere dolphine test which involves a ball master throwing a tennis ball full of lead (about 2lbs) out of the plane (falls at about 175mph) and having the student fly out after it, catch it in the air, release it, doing a cartwheel (y-axis transition), fly back to it and catch it again, release, 360 (x-axis transition), fly back to it anc catch it again all before 7,000 ft. To this day, only about 250 people have passed this test. People jump first because they want the adrenoline and overall experience. They come back again and again and again because they want to fly. It's the shit.. no lie.. do it.. live it.. it will change who you are. AD151 |

i thought you meant the band :winkwink:

you never said what you get for passing the test. You did all those cartwheels, and past the testm but what did you pass?
Also, I'd love to go. Hollywood, if you know of a good jump school in the valley, let me know. :) |
You basically get crowned as a ball master, which means your abilities are recognized by the USPA and FAA (you can jump a space ball at any drop zone that allows it without having another ball master in the air with you).
This is seriously dangerous shit if you don't catch the ball before it impacts the ground.. it would drive a person's head thru their ass before they ever knew what hit them. My friend in florida put one in all the way thru the engine of a nissan and so far into the ground you couldn't see it. As you can see, they don't want just anyone taking shit like this out of an airplane;-) If you want to know some schools or any other info, my icq is 102529708. |
I thought Ron Jeremy was the ball master :eek7
