2 minutes after putting in a request for a few mySQL dbs got an email saying they were starting.. :) Basically how it always is with National-Net and Swiftwill too. Both great companies. :) Lalala.

No doubt, i've had some bad experiences in the past. I hate it when you need something really fast and it takes em like 2 days to reply. Good luck to ya!

With Webair's panel, you can pretty much add them yourself and be on your way. :)

Yeah, difference between managed and not. Especially if you're using virtual servers, I'd rather not have others having the ability to potentially take down the server by messing things up, and it's nice to be able to just ask someone politely to do something for you and then you just have to wait a bit, and you can work while someone else is working for you. :)
