where do you guys get health insurance

Getting close to quitting my job and doing porn full time (Fuck Yeah!)

but the only thing I'm really worried about is health insurance. Do you know who is cheap?

LiveDose 03-20-2002 08:20 PM

Totally depends where you live man. When I was in NYC it was freakin' ridiculous... Now I am not there but my wife's job has us covered.... Even if she didn't though it would only be @ $80 a month for me.

Check your local providers you might be pleasantly surprised...

Good luck man!

I'm in Boston. I looked at bcbs and it was over $300/mo which is ridiculous cuz I'm young and dont have any medical problems (knock on skull)

Wilbo 03-20-2002 08:24 PM

I pay $1300 every quarter for my family of 4.

LiveDose 03-20-2002 08:34 PM

Dude,

Check this site out:

my Mom was looking here the other day and talked to the reps on the phone. Seems like a group type network. Power in numbers!

No guns? What do you do if someone starts babbling that French shit at ya? We'd blast'em for that here, insurance or not.

Right now I get health insurance from my job.

But back when I was a contractor, I paid Kaiser $204 per month for coverage. Pretty cheap.

PersianKitty 03-20-2002 10:23 PM

www.nase.org

I have a major medical plan through them with coverage for ER visits and discounts on prescriptions. Runs about $125 a month for myself and my two teen boys.

SykkBoy 03-20-2002 10:25 PM

if you have a corporation (or even business licences, etc.) visit a meeting of your local SBA or SCORE and there are often salesmen amongst them selling health insrance and you can often work with other small business owners and get group rates....

Here in SD, I pay Kaiser $180/mo (30 yrs old) with dental; though it was $130 when I was 29 (fucking birthdays).
