HOLLYWOOD, Calif. ? The 4th Annual XBiz Awards rocked Hollywood, Calif., at the landmark Key Club on Sunset Boulevard, making award history and leaving behind a clear message that the adult industry is alive and kicking.

The standing-room only event celebrated some of the adult industry?s most innovative professionals, as chosen by their peers, across a wide spectrum of both online and offline adult products and services. Doors opened at 9:30 p.m. with a red-carpet reception, followed by the awards ceremony at 10:30 p.m. Hustler?s Jim Henley hosted the evening and a raucous crowd cheered winners and nominees as industry players presented awards in 10 categories. The evening was capped off by a rocking performance by the band RUN as partygoers partied into the night.

In a first-ever statistical deadlock between two XBiz nominees, Mansion Productions (MPA3) and Too Much Media (NATS) broke even on the vote for Best Solution Provider, both averaging scores of 4.3325.

?It was an incredible night and an amazing turnout,? Alec Helmy, president of XBiz, said. ?The tie between MPA3 and NATS was really a shocker for everyone, given that the judges scored them exactly the same. XBiz congratulates all the winners, and we?ll see you all again next year for another great round.?

I actually work very hard, I have produced some awesome websites this year, one of already boasting over 3700 members within 6 months, then the growth of the mobile market. Infact this year was biggest year ever in design since I started in this biz.

What do I get for it?

I can't remember when they launched but it must have been at least 2 or 3 years ago. Dee, Rage, OC...I would think those should be in the up & coming category.

Yep bit of a shame really as there have been a large number of programs this year of high quality.

I dont think the problem is in the judging since I actually was one and saw first hand the way it was done - but there is question as to the nomination process. I do think that needs to be addressed and refined.

I think by "up and coming" it did not mean "new this year" etc.. I believe it was supposed to be for a program that really expanded/exploded and rose up to new levels in the industry.

Personally I don't think the awards mean much because all they are is a popularity contest, not true awards with logical reasons for choosing the winners.
