only your top 8 friends show on your page - you choose who your top 8 friends are - you have to go to View all Friends to see yourself but you'll be buried in a list of like 200-some other people :(

The only way to do is it to leave a comment on the other person's page, like the always-popular "thanks for the add!" - then you'll show up in their comments :winkwink:
