Teenrevenue - Any support for members?

I got this posted on one of my sites:

Quote:

I subscribed to MiltonTwins.com after reading your glowing appraisal. But the downloadable member mpegs do not work in Windows Media Player (v10 Win XP on PC). The player keeps telling me that a codec is required to play the file but it is unable to retrieve the codec. Unfortunately, there appears to be no direct support for the website. I have written to the indirect customer support email address. (But I am not confident about getting a reply anytime soon - if at all.)So my question is: were your comments based on just looking at the site and the free video clips - which do work but are in a different format. Have you joined up and got the downloadable mpegs to work? If so, please tell me what is the codec I need and where do I get it? Has any other member had the same problem?
Sux that he posted that on my site which will discourage more signups, but can you answer this for me or gimme a login so I can check it out myself?

Yes, we have customer support for our members. I personally have no problems playing the codec, but maybe we should give a link to our members on the codecs they need to play the available movies. I'll let our team know and thanks for your comments.

Can you tell me which codec he needs and gimme a url or any info so I can post the info for em and add it to my "glowing review" of Milton Twins?

i dont think you need a special codec it played fine for me. maybe just need to update your media player.

FreeHugeMovies 11-16-2005 03:25 PM

The movie clips are MPEGS so I don't know why he would have a problem off hand.

After Shock Media 11-16-2005 03:29 PM

Oddly I had the very same issue with the mpegs that are in the free content areas. My media player is also currently updated and still would not play these and gave me the codec error as well.

I'll give you guys a response in here once I've figured out what's wrong. Sorry for the problems.

May not help you track it down but the sites trailer works fine in the tour. Also the wmv versions in the free content area also work.

bingo, I heard the same from others, must be using a wierd encoder, works on all my puters but I have a zillion codecs installed doing my own video editing so I don'thave a typical surfer setup.

gleem 11-16-2005 04:35 PM

crap, can you guys just gimme a login so I can go figure it out? I already wrote a fake review which I feel bad enough about, I'm raking in cash with a LIE!

We also have two diff. types of clips for every scene. An WMV and an MPEG clip. So either or should of worked based on his codecs.

I dunno, I suppose he wanted the downloadable stuff and prolly the better looking quality clips which I assume are the WMV's, not that I would know cause I don't have a pass ;)

gleem 11-16-2005 07:37 PM

now he's gonna charge back :Oh crap

gleem 11-21-2005 10:31 AM

you guys ever get a word on what codec is needed? got another email from another surfer.

gleem 11-21-2005 02:19 PM

guess not... pfffft :Oh crap

Gottis 11-21-2005 02:37 PM

Tell him to download the MPEG version, wtf... Quality != a certain format. Or tell him to download VLC.

FreeHugeMovies 11-21-2005 02:53 PM

I'm still trying to track down what was used. I think MPEG2 was used but I'm not sure. As soon as I find I'll post in here.

You have been far more helpful than the non-existant MiltonTwins customer support.

The good news is that I managed to get the huge mpegs to play after trying them on a different computer. But it was only sheer luck that this other computer happened to have the correct codec installed. (It was part of the software that came with a replacement DVD drive.) Otherwise, I would still be waiting for Miltontwins customer support.

The reason I prefer to download one mpeg is that it is far more convenient than downloading multiple clips - especially as the member pages block my download manager program. Then there are the other problems associated with joining up separate clips which never seems to be as smooth as the original single file.

Thanks chef, your blog has inspired me to start my own blog where I will tell people the reality the behind the MiltonTwins hype.
it's not good when frustrated surfers start their own anti paysite blog lol. Anyways, I love the MiltonTwins site, making me great money, so fuckem.
