I got a traffic ticket not long ago for letting my tags expire [can you say "Slacker"]

Court date was yesterday at 4 pm local time. Problem was there were tornados and golf ball sized hail here yesterday at 4.

So I call the court and ask if there is a make-up date....and they said to just come in today.....wonder if this is a conspiracy?

What should I do...

A. Firebomb the court house in protest

B. Skip town to avoid prosecution

C. Carry my lame @$$ down there and pay up

Any other input would be invaluable...

ask your 1000 lawyers to quit.

Call the Prosecutor or DA and make arrangements.

Take a buddy with you and make sure he has bail money.

im sure they will let you redo it for extreme weather heh

I suppose it would depend on how much the ticket is. I could honestly care less about paying for a parking ticket.

If it's a moving violation on the other hand, where I'm from, it costs a lot more money than just the cost of the ticket. It affects your insurance rates as well. In that case, I'd damn well show up.

edit-misunderstood your post. Unless you're going to get arrested for missing the court date, just show up in the morning and pay it, unless you want to fight it. If you want to fight it, you'd best get down there today.

as long as you get down there to pay, they won't care

i have been in the EXACT same situation, except for the tornado....they were just happy I got down there and paid....it was all good
