Removing tar from your car.

Did you know that Peanut Butter is the best thing to use to get tar off of your car?

If you did great, if you didn't well now you do.

Try lighter fluid or a solvent, not a thinner

The peanut butter is far less damaging to your paint than petroleum chemicals.

Steve,

DONT do it! I seen your car and if you remove the tar, what will hold it together?

RJ that's damn true, they don't make Dodge Neons like they used to.

Once I get the tar off I apply a nice layer or two of Duct Tape.

It's a good look.

2 coats of "high speed racing tape", duct tape sounds so cheap.... I bet that plum purple goes well with that shiny grey tape!

EroticySteve 11-16-2005 07:42 AM

Crap did I say Dodge Neon? I mean to say SLR McLaren Mercedes Benz. I'm a webmaster and I drive a car that others can only dream of.

Replace "Dodge Neon" with SLR McLaren.

Thanks.

i use to be a roofer best thing to get tar off of anything is KARNA clean

http://www.karnakcorp.com/pro_op.html

Quote:

Karna-Klean is a biodegradable non-toxic petroleum free cleaner/degreaser with all natural ingredients. The base ingredient in this highly concentrated formulation is a natural solvent obtained from orange peel and pulp, giving Karna-Klean a pleasant scent of fresh oranges.
expensive as shit but it'll take the tar off of anything and it smells like oranges :)

Right, forgot... it's been awhile since I've ridden in it...

Sergio_AVAcash 11-16-2005 07:48 AM

I always use gasoline to remove it. Very quickly and effective :thumbsup
