Rss

Anyone want to point me in the right direction to how you post RSS feeds on your sites. I've been doing blogs and so on with my own content, but I've never used content from RSS feeds and I know I'm missing out.

I'm especially looking to know how you post up feeds from several sites on to one main site.

We have a couple links here ( http://www.pradult.com/category-feeds/ ) that should tell you how to actually do it.

I would tell you, but I have goodgirl do that stuff for us.

Depends on the time of day that you place your order, and if someone is up and working when the order comes in.

If you were to place an order for a virtual server right now, it would be up and running within 15-20 minutes (on average).

Dedicated servers depend on which plan you get. We say 3-5 days, but it can be within a day or two depending on the datacenter, and turn around on the install of the panel.

i'm sure of that. who else is offering this? nobody that I can see.

may i offer a sensitive question, however. i will be porting all my backend scripts and all that "magic" stuff that goes into seo into your host. i would hope that that remains confidential not only in terms with others, but within your organization. i'm sure i'm not doing anything you guys don't already know about, but just in case, is there any confidentiality clause signed when someone opens up an account there? again. not trying to be a dick or anything, but i would just like to keep the shit i've learned so far as my own.

if you've already addressed this, sorry. i didn't see it.

Thanks for the info I was checking them out and wondering something.

I'm starting up some mainstream "niche" specific news sites. What I'm looking to do is pull RSS feeds from several sites which will sometimes post the same stuff.

So by default I'd end up with duplicate postings of the same news from multiple RSS feeds. Is there any sort of programs that will automatically weed out the duplicate titles?

Blog owners, feel free to add your RSS to handfeeds.com - free traffic.

baddog told me he could have my box setup in 20 minutes TOPS, ya right :Oh crap It was 28

Search for a free RSS parser. I'm sure there are a bunch of PHP ones out there. I've found a couple of java ones as well.

Find the RSS feeds you want to parse. Feed them to the parser which then converts them to HTML that can fit somewhere into your site.

You're done.

Not sure I understand your question.

No one else on the server has access to anything you upload to your account, and we sure the heck do not have time to go thru and look at what everyone else is doing.

If I misunderstood the question, feel free to hit me up direct (all info on http://www.gotwebhost.com/support.html ) as I am not going to have much board time today.

Sorry for the delay, but I probably had you set up in 15, but it took another 13 to get the info compiled and out to you. :winkwink:
