Dutch Gov Wants Controlled Doping Tests at Gyms
 

Oh my goodness, like they don't have anything else to worry about.

Here in Holland the idea to introduce government controlled doping tests at gyms came up today. They want to make everyone who works out in a gym take such a test and if they are positive they will get a gym-ban!

Can you believe it? They want to use the IOC dopinglist as a guideline, so that means you'd better train as a professional athlete or otherwise you can't go to the gym anymore.

UNBELIEVABLE!

Not that I use any restricted drugs for my training, but I believe one should be free to do so if that's your choice.

People are allowed to fuck up their life by smoking and using alcohol, we even allow fucking weed! And now all of the sudden some geniuses come up with the idea of testing the scarce amount of people actually trying to be healthy?

Using the IOC list is a fucking joke too, anything over 120mg caffeine will trigger it. Antihistamines as well. How are they gonna justify banning people who like coffee?

don't worry eventually people will revolt, it takes serious amounts of attacks on civil liberties to form revolutions....but they are digging their own graves

seems the Dutch are taking after the Americans... infringe on every civil liberty you possibly can.

would be nice if they could focus on real issues like solving problems like putting ppl in isolation cells after they survived a serious fire and telling it never happened...

Short story: the social-liberal side got their asses kicked in elections a few years back because populistic, moralistic right-wingers managed to influence voters' irrational fears. The free-market and conservative crowd went along with the right-wingers, then the social democrats followed suit to avoid losing more voters, so now we completely lack good parties.

The funny thing is that the same people who are now complaining about government infringing upon our liberties are the ones who are responsible for all this shit happening, because they were stupid enough to vote for the "tough"-talking parties.


I'm actually thinking of starting a new, serious, party. One that is both socially and economically liberal. (ie, social freedom and economic freedom, free people and free markets)

drug testing should be seen as violation of privacy rights.

and thats how it is seen in my eyes.

anyone who believes in freedom and liberty should be against drug tests, otherwise - you dont believe in freedom or liberty at all.

won't pass, it will fuck up all the gyms, when I had some crazy ass party the night before, I'm still fucked up the next morning.... when I have to do a drug test at that time I won't pass the test lol


Imagine going to the gym and everytime you go you have to do a test lol, If they really want to do that than most of the gyms can close up right away...

they are just focussing on the wrong part again, the people going to the gym just want to be healty
