Gas close to $2.00/gallon

I saw $2.14 for regular yesterday.

I paid $2.30 for premium

Gas is lower now than before Katrina here.

I'm hoping that premium drops to about $1.55 to $1.70.

candyflip 11-14-2005 12:17 PM

$2.37 is the closest to $2 here.

You can't compare the US to Europe.

Apples and Oranges.

Talk to your government about them bilking you on taxes per liter.

johnnyhey 11-14-2005 12:36 PM

i say we invade saudi arabia and pay $0.37 a gallon.

Fletch XXX 11-14-2005 12:36 PM

if your state had stricter fuel emissions this would not be the case.

here in california we CONSTANTLY pay more than you people because we want to keep the sky cleaner. Cheap gas = more crap in the sky.

California makes its own gas because we demand cleaner fuels.

Therefore, weve been paying 3$ a gal since Iraq started :1orglaugh

Babagirls 11-14-2005 12:37 PM

$2.19 here in Wisconsin (heard it was $2.12 in PA)

adultchica 11-14-2005 12:38 PM

Alky 11-14-2005 12:40 PM

mass here too..... though the lowest i saw was $2.09 but that was last week...

pornguy 11-14-2005 12:43 PM

I have not gotten gas in two weeks here, But since Mexico makes it own, the price is steady, and usually lower than that of the US. they try to entice people to cross the border for a fill up.

Lat time I got gas, I paid 2.40$ and in Cali it was about 2.90$ so about 50 cents less.

There are a lot of reasons why you HAVE to have cleaner fuel. The reason in part is because of the weather in in some areas of California, the lack of weather. You are also one of the most heavily populated states. However the state has always been proactive in maintaining higher emissions standards.

In Florida we don't even have annual or bi-annual safety inspections.

I remember watching The Price is Right as a kid when they'd list the features a prize car had they always mentioned "California Emissions" :)

yeah, i know. The problem is global yet not many humans give a shit.

This complacency will be the end of the world. One need only read The Lorax.

I think we are finally back down to about $2.45 here in Phoenix.

It's gonna happen. Most of the surge in oil pricing is largely due to speculation. Chinese and Indian demand factors in as well but the speculation has truly distorted its effect.

Perhaps that's true. However, many of us won't have to deal with that. We've been given problems by our parents and grandparents I'm sure we'll pass along plenty to our kids and their kids and thier kids kids.

Also, oil isn't running out. "Peak Oil" and even the term "FossilFuels" are antiquated and perhaps no longer relevant.

Read that article . It elaborates that dinosaurs are probably not the source of oil.

I was reading once and realized how much the stock market and speculation has an impact. Its really pretty crazy to watch gas prices soar simply because so many people want stock. Makes me want to watch Wall Street just thinking about it.

rose4u 11-14-2005 05:44 PM

I got gas today for $2.39, but then I drove about 3 miles down the road and saw it advertised for $2.10. Fuckers.

The again your country is so small that you driving to the star is 1/4 distance.

Driving to a mall is 1/4 distance. And almost anywhere else is four times as far as it is for me.

its all relative. You pay more, but you have less distance to drive.

We drive less and pay more.

bringer 11-14-2005 06:41 PM

AmateurFlix 11-14-2005 06:41 PM
