Keeps getting lower and lower.

Just by turning off lights and not cranking the A/C I have gone from $150/mo to about $65/mo for Electricity.

Try small electric saving flourescent bulbs...

last month my bill for usage was 120$, the "fuel adjustment" was 270$ :1orglaugh


i'd hate to see what my adjustment woulda been had I actually used any natural gas, i'm 100% electric here

150$/month for electricity?? God damn! Do you have a heated pool or something? My bill is around 40$. (and I leave the lights/stuff on all the time)

I replaced all the bulbs in my house to the flourescent bulbs and it not only cut down the electric bill a little but they dont get NEAR as hot as the regular bulbs. Especially if you have a row of 8 bulbs in your bathroom like mine. Better light to IMO...

Each room I have ceiling fans and i replaced all of the bulbs in those with Halogens

Each bulb was 75 watt before the Flourescents are 12 watts each. 3 bulbs per fixture for a total of 36 watts instead of 225.

If all of the lights are on with incandescent bulbs I was using 1350 watts for lighting

Now I have it at 216 watts to light the entire house.

i never have lights on during the day (just open the blinds) and if its cold in here, i turn the heater on for an hour or two then shut it off.

I would kill to have a $150 electric bill let alone a $65 one. My bills run about $300 to $400 a month. The price I pay for living in the desert where the AC runs non-stop almost year round.

I switched to pretty much all those, and my bill is half what it used to be. Nice saving money doing nothing. :)

Oh and the Flourescents also last for years. I have owned my Flourescents for a few years. I had them at my old house and many of them I got from a friend. Some of them are going on 5+years now.

I used to live up north and my gas and electric combined were about that much. My bills could easily be over $200 a month here but I am very good about conservation. The money I save pays for a tank of gas and my cell phone bill.

I get my bill here every two months. the last bill was for 800

LOL pornguy.. what kind of pesos? chilean? urugayan? argentinian?mexican? or others? my last bill was 180 pesos but i had the ac on the whole month (arround 61 dollars)

Even if I used no electricity I'd be charged maintenance fees.

The next thing I'm going to do is update my attic insulation and replace the doors and windows. That should also help.
