Why does WinXP not have Microsoft Netmeeting?

This was once the industry standard for webcams. I recently got a Logitech Orbit webcam and was wondering why netmeeting is not included with WinXP.

I tried to download it from microsoft but the newest version wont work on XP

What do people use these days instead of netmeeting?

I know MSN and Yahoo do video chat but is there something better? Like a dedicated program that can do conference calls and share you're desktop like netmeeting did?

Msn messenger

You can use your webcam with just about all the instant messengers. I believe MS stopped supporting netmeeting quite a while back. How do you like the image on your orbits, I got a couple and haven't been happy with the image quality and seemingly no ability to focus on the cam.

You can join one of the free cam communities where you can communicate with hundreds of others on cam. Try www.anywebcam.com

The quickcam pro 4000/5000 has a better processor and much clearer picture.

Go to start then "run" and type conf.exe and NetMeeting will launch.
