We took down a server from being co-located and it's now one that I use for all my video work.

It's a Dual P3 with 2 gig of ram and 4x120 gig HDD. That's all I know about it, but it still rocks along nicely.

I recently got a new P4 box, but still have the "Old-Reliable" dual P3-933 machine. The dual 933 box served me quite well for 5 years, started out with a pair of 667's. I'll probably put some new drives in it, reload it with a fresh operating system (it has Win2000 Pro) and use it for even more years for a development server. :)

I know a guy who had 2x800Mhz .. that sucked ..!

It had quite a few upgrades and enhancements over that timeframe, I think the only "original" component left is the motherboard. :1orglaugh

Godsmack 11-13-2005 06:49 AM

Dual proccessors are nice, but there is no use when you use apps that do not support dual proccessing, some do like Photoshop and other graphics apps..
