A friend of mine is building very nice residential group with 8 houses (about $210,000 each) here in the heart of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. She's one of my best friends so if anyone wants to invest in such a great investment i can get you a very good discount. The prices here are going up all the time and they will jump big time when we join EU 2007. You can google it. Is it nice offer? There's a leasing with just 30% upfront... or mortgage with any bank... Also the area is one of the best in Sofia, it's close to where the celebrities and the richest live... And the view is just stunning!!

this has to be a scam - you can get a really nice home for $210,000 in many cities of the United States and Canada.

I have nothing against Bulgaria, but I would have something against spending $200k on a mediocre house in a country with a nominal GDP per capita of $3k. If you want to life in a second or third world country, you might as well choose a cheap one.

I'm sorry, but those houses look awful and you're way off with the price. The website has prices starting at 340,000 euros, which is roughly $400,000.

In the Phoenix area houses are incredibly cheap. Very nice big houses too with pools and what not for under $200k.

This is in the heart of european capital dumbass... you can buy a whole town with that much in the country but not in the capital...
Sofia is not like the country. Very different standard etc...

When is the last time you check Phoenix real estate? You are way off, the last year Phoenix had the biggest % increase in real estate and you're now looking at min 400k for what you just described.

Looks pretty nice. But if you have 200k you should just cross the border south to Mexico, and get a place on the beach, and still have about 10k for the new furnishings.
