How do I know this, simple. I had everyone I know go in and vote for that picture, and then they had people go in and vote for it.

Reason #5692 why contests are a bad idea... someone will always piss about how they didn't win.

I honestly don't see how you *know* you won - do you know how many votes the winning post had? You seem to know how many you had by inviting everyone you know which, while legal, isn't very ethical. The idea was to let GFYers honestly vote for the photo they liked best and you, like probably a few others, didn't really follow that idea.

So, even if you're right and you had the most votes, that's a lame way to win a contest and I don't feel any pity for you whether you got cheated or not.

You posted a pic to the thread and then got a bunch of people to vote for you, for no other reason than to test whether or not it was a scam. Then, when you didn't win, you complain in the contest thread, post 2 more threads (one banned), claim they cheat everyone incl. affiliates and possibly customers too ...

All to make a sponsor who advertises on this board - a board that is run by Adult.com/Playboy - your company - look bad?

Then they should have put that in the rules that nobody from adult.com, playboy, etc can enter. Given that there are a limited number of passes available, sicone would have probably given it to someone.

It is my understanding that is what he was going to do. Although, I think it would have been better to have the people he was trying to win one for try themselves.

A contest is a contest.... if sicone wants to try and win and give it away that is his prerogative

it was meant to be a FUN contest, but i suppose we have to get VERY anal about the rules to make it clear to EVERYONE what goes and what doesnt....our idea was to not stress it too much...that takes away a big part of the fun. we're all respectful adults with common sense. we have enough rules in our everyday lives already...aside from the MAJOR guidelines, i dont think these things should be taken SO seriously. It's all in good fun...

i doubt it would be acceptable if i spammed my entire icq list to vote for me, so i don't see why it would be acceptable here?

2 thoughts on this... I dont know the whole "drama" behind this.. been in and out for 2 days now with my wisdom tooth... BUT

1. This should of been handled A LOT better.

2. AWE is #1 top notch in my book. They do what they say and are 150% reliable and trusted.

I see your point Headless.... but that should have been stated in the rules then. You read the rules of a mountain dew contest or any other company contest and it usually says that people that work for the company are not eligible, etc. Without that stipulated, it's open for sicone to enter.
