No, it's not a sin, but you need to catch it while you can, because they are building a new Bay Bridge (big multi-billion dollar boondoggle), and plan to tear down the old one.

Since they tore down the Embarcadero freeway after the Loma Prieta earthquake of '89, they really created some nice landscaping near the Bay Bridge on the SF side - dramatically improving the look of the Bay Bridge (plus it looks nice lit up at night).

You need to let me know the next time you visit Baghdad by the Bay, and I'll give you the nickle local tour of cool places that tourists rarely get to see..
