Why was the thread about Moniker deleted?
 

There was a thread posted about an hour ago with a subject of "who has the lowest cheapest domains right now??" at:

The registrar Moniker came up and I asked about what specific things they offered that other low priced registrars did not. chipmunk replied with a list of features most of which other registrars have so I typed a reply to clarify that I was asking about specific features that less expensive registrars did not have and when I submitted it the thread had been deleted. Anyways, I am curious why the thread was deleted right after his post and in case chipmunk is still around and wants to respond to my reply, it is below.

Thanks, I was asking about what specific products or services you offer that other less expensive registrars do not offer. As you probably know most of the features you listed such as full IP/DNS management, categories, downloads to spreadsheets, security, service, adult domains, ect are available at other registrars that charge less. The 5000 names on one page does sounds like it may be unique though. If you don't have many truely unique features, what specifically is it about the ones you mentioned or others you offer that make them better than your lower priced competitors versions? Thanks.

Unfortunately, I just renewed all my domains a month before I talked to him, but, next time they're renewed + all new registrations = moniker...

Cool, I see the thread has mysteriously returned from the dead. Regarding pricing, I was merely going by the prices published at your site. While not the lowest I see if one is willing to make a $1000 deposit they could be said to be competitive.

The problem with comparing registrars is that most claim to be the best at everything they do. As a customer, one of the ways to truly tell them apart is to compare their features and if they are all the same, then to dig deeper and find out how one company may offer the same feature in a way that is better than the others.

I would be the first one to pay more per domain to a company that offers something unique or is better at offering a common service and that is what I was trying to invite you to provide specific details about.

For example, for me security is one of the most important issues and while all companies claim to have the best, I have never seen a registrar that offered and explained a specific service or procedure in this area that set them apart from all or most others.

From the feedback you get on this site, I suspect one of your companies biggest competitive advantages is your personal customer service but if you have any other features that set your company apart, that you can expand upon, I and probably others would enjoy learning more about them.
