If the legal age for porn modeling was 17...

Would you promote 17's?

What if it was 16 1/2? Where would you draw your own line?

gangbangjoe 11-10-2005 10:56 AM

18 is good

i wouldnt promote younger girls

Maxy 11-10-2005 10:56 AM

I'd draw my own line at 17 I think.

Libertine 11-10-2005 10:57 AM

This is a question which, unfortunately, is impossible to answer.

The law reflects the most common social customs, so the legal age for porn would only be 16 assuming an entirely different set of customs and thus morals within society. However, if this were the case, our intuitions would be different than they are now.

ihcr 11-10-2005 11:02 AM

would 17 make them an adult? I know plenty of people who think the legal age for porn should be 21, like drinking. But it's 18, how many grown up(adult) 18 year olds do you know? But the law is the law and morals don't have anything to do with it when it comes to making the almighty dollar.
So if was legal I'm sure I would do it.

BVF 11-10-2005 11:02 AM

IF the law was 17 then there would be 16 year old girls around lying and begging saying that they're "almost 17"...And so on and so forth.

DirtyRider 11-10-2005 11:02 AM

It should be 21 to be honest.

Nicky 11-10-2005 11:04 AM

IMO 18 is just fine

NinjaSteve 11-10-2005 11:06 AM

The law should be followed. So if you have to be 21 to drink, you can't legally buy alcohol at 20 1/2

Dalai lama 11-10-2005 11:07 AM

Sure if the law allows it.

If that were the case, this thread would be titled "If the legal age for porn modeling was 16..."

And if it were 16 the thread would be titled "If the legal age for porn modeling was 15..."

and so on... and so on...

nofx 11-10-2005 11:17 AM

if it was legal you can bet your ass that everyone would use 17 year old models

pornguy 11-10-2005 11:19 AM

I think that legl age being 18 is just fine.

define mature? I know 17 year old's that have more common sense than a 35 year old MILF.

if it was legal, then yes, that makes it right.

people are going to do whatever to stay within the legal boundries of whatever their doing.

people dont promote teens under 18 because of course that would be illegal. but however they will accept a model THE DAY she turns 18 to become content, but 24 hours ago she was 17...

FluxAds 11-10-2005 11:25 AM

How about 13? Too young??

:)

jact 11-10-2005 11:26 AM

I've given this subject a lot of thought, and honestly, I don't like working with anyone under the age of 19. Not because I think they're too young, but because they're still young enough to not realize the implications of what they're doing and how it can effect them for the rest of their lives. How many people have lost their career because that skeleton came out of the closet to haunt them?

I'm very careful with the people I work with, I ensure that they understand that this is something that they're going to have come back to haunt them later in life and that they can't take it back. They have to be willing to accept that before we shoot anything.

Th!nk 11-10-2005 11:28 AM

13? that's too young. even 18 years old is still young.
for me the best age for modelling stuff like this should be 21 and up...
they will really look mature already

dynastoned 11-10-2005 11:39 AM

if it was 17 i know 90% would probably shoot it.

Paul Waters 11-10-2005 11:52 AM

I think it makes some sense to have a year or two when only topless is allowed. Let the girls break in slowly.

I should have said morally right. You have to draw the line some where. It's called the adult industry when does a child become an adult? 16 - 18 - 21
You can't drink a beer at 18 but you can be a pornstar.

ModelPerfect 11-10-2005 12:03 PM

In England, I believe the legal age is 16.

I find it very strange that in SC, you can legally fuck them at 16, they can work in strip joints at 17, but you can't take pictures until they're 18.

Of course, I find it equally strange that you can fight and die for your country at 18, but you can't drink until 21.

If you have ever been around a drunk 18 year old, then you should know why the legal drinking age is 21, and even then it is still funny to blow on them and watch them fall over.

SykkBoy 11-11-2005 09:33 AM

If the age were 17, 99% of the sponsors would rush out "Barely17" sites...same with 16...

very good post - we all know that people BS alot of GFY, and that if the law dropped the age to 17 everyone here would be grabbing a camera and shooting in order to be the first out there grabbing the $$.

This industry is more about the money and pissing on the legal 'line' than morals and ethics
