My cat just dragged in a bird!

My house cat - never one to go outside, just snagged a bird off the balcony! Brought it in to show me!

Fizzgig 11-10-2005 11:00 AM

Give her lots of praise and eat the bird or your cat will be insulted. You only have to take a couple of bites and then give the rest back.

Cassavetes 11-10-2005 11:02 AM

Yeah - she does seem awful proud right now!

Wait until it drags in a live chipmunk or squirrel and they get loose in your house. Good times.

You introduce yourself?

Wot's the birds name?

Scott McD 11-11-2005 02:50 AM

My cat is a house cat, and whenever a bird flys past the window, she shits herself and runs for cover... :1orglaugh

Brent_Moe 11-11-2005 03:13 AM

My cat also bring stuff inside the house and it just keeps freaking me out.

We have Arabian cats here at the house. Quite big but too lazy to bring me some present . Eating and lurking around the house is her hobby.

7 cats!!! wow. I have the 2 housecats - they sometimes like to sit in the sun on the balcony upstairs... never imagined they could be hunters - they're generally WIMPS!

My cat Ping brings in Lizards all the time, and he brings them in from the screened in porch!. Lizards are sqeezing in through somewhere and Ping watches for them. He brought a lizard in the house yesterday, ripped its fucking tail off and i walk in the living room and i see this little thing limping under the entertainment system and Ping just sitting there looking at me, then he realized the lizard slipped away and went crazy... but he found it about 15 minutes later and i got hold of the lizard and put him outside before Ping finished him off..... :thumbsup

My cat is THE SHIT. Lets raunchy farts though.. nasty!

For some reason all the people here in NY with more than 4 cats in one home, seem to have some sort of crazy problem. You're scaring me... :(

I always knew cats were killers in the wild but it never really hit me until the day i saw the cat chewing on a possum tail on the doorstep one night while i was out having a smoke (several yrs ago) a few days later i saw the cat playing with something out in the yard.. i went up to see what it was.. and it was a baby possum with one of its eyes hanging out trying to get away from the cat.. ended up taking the possum to a wildlife shelter.. dont know if it survived.. hungry cats make great killers.

shermo 11-11-2005 05:45 AM

My dog brought in a rat once. Freaked me out big time. I didn't know we had rats in our area, but the exterminator told us that desert construction often leaves outdoor rats looking for refuge under plants, etc.

Who knew that a Lhaso Apso named Kahlua could be such a killer?
