because you can't view it today means it is kaput?

Jeez man maybe it is your connection or counter code or something.

Give them a break, I dont think they are going anywhere anytime soon.

mariuz 03-18-2002 05:40 PM

It's always been either slow as fuck for me, never counted properly or just timed out completely.

Class act dude.

JakeR 03-18-2002 07:44 PM

Why's that Bruce? Are there any similarities beyond your weak attempt at copying the interface?

I understand we can't please everyone all the time, but We keep 95% or better of our 15,000 webmasters happy. :)

Smegma 03-18-2002 07:46 PM

ouch.

foxy 03-18-2002 08:01 PM

Kc we havent made a "weak attempt" to copy your counter as our is in php. Also whatever happened to the money that we were not paid? Dont think we have forgotten that. You emailed us saying 'your traffic was unproductive"
--- what a load of shit.
You still owe us for months of clicks thousands of $$$.
payup or shut up.

Bake 03-18-2002 08:01 PM

KC has been very cool to me he strighten out all my loading problems and helped me big time on another problem that wasnt related to him. Its nice when a big webmaster programe takes the time to fix the issues that popup every now and then.
KC thanks again for the help :)

Kimmykim 03-18-2002 08:11 PM

Gee foxy, I've known KC for years. Never seen him stiff anyone.

Smegma 03-18-2002 08:14 PM

Your right Fox.. I don't see the similarity.. KC.. Your nuts man.. Foxcounter looks NOTHING like PayCounter.

Foxy --

as for the put up or shutup comment...

Here's an email I sent to you on July 5, 2001, to which you responded, "-- OK, that's fine"

-----ok thats fine!

----

To date 2 checks have been issued to your account.

Check # 10596 on 5/15/2001 for $793.60
Check # 10676 on 6/15/2001 for $1,408.55

As I stated in that email...

"I've gone ahead and authorized payment for your account. However, due to the unproductive nature of this traffic, I'd ask that you remove the counters."

The reason we flagged your account is because yes, the traffic was EXTREMELY unproductive. I went ahead and authorized payment for that period and a final check was issued. I gave you the option of continuing to use the counter without pay, or taking them down.

I'd say so far you've gotten $2202.15 more than you should have and a counter interface to attempt to copy. I think you came out way ahead of me on this deal.

I think Smegma's post including the strangly similar interfaces speaks volumes...

You better check again. as far as we know we didnt get that payment.

I'll check with accounting in the morning on those checks.. If they have not cleared our bank yet, I'll be more than happy to cancel them and re-issue. But they were certainly issued by our system and mailed.

foxy 03-18-2002 08:52 PM

ok Kc. you can email me the info.

spacedog 03-18-2002 09:05 PM

Hmm...

I use paycounter & never have any complaints, but whenever there's a problem, I ALWAYS get a prompt reply.. KC is good to the webmasters who use paycounter...

I tried foxcounter.. Had a problem.. sent an email 2x. never got an answer...

Webmaster support is very important..

KC wins in that department :thumbsup

Foxy that?s not the way to do business, face it you don?t push your shit where doesn?t belong. KC is as solid as they come.
Paycounter is up and counting has been up and has been paying to ALL of their HONEST webmasters since day one.

Paycounter is a tested product that has been in business for years why would any one want to try anything else?

PAYCOUNTER PAYS!

:321GFY to all the haters and wanna be out there !

eru 03-19-2002 04:50 AM

Hey KC, I sent an email to PayCounter yesterday morning and still haven't received a reply. I was wondering if it was OK to get a PayCounter if I am 18 because the FAQ says 21. It's legal here in the states to be 18 and be an adult. Where is the counter hosted?

-eru

KC 03-19-2002 06:29 AM

Hey Eru -

I saw that post at AWI... I responded over there too..

We won't kick an 18 year old adult out of PayCounter for not being 21 years old provided you don't violate the other rules!!

Looking forward to having you aboard.

Thanks,
KC

KC 03-19-2002 06:29 AM

FYI -

We're located in San Jose, California. ;)

eru 03-19-2002 01:03 PM

KC, do I have to register each one of my galleries or can I just use the same code on all my sites? It would be a lot easier for me to do it that way..

How long does it take for the counter to start working? I put the code up on all my pages a few minutes ago and I don't see any hits (I should be getting over 1,000 an hour).

-eru

KC 03-19-2002 02:49 PM

Eru -

You can use the same counter code if you want... You just lose the detail of how much each gallery is getting and from where... instead of seeing them seperately you see them combined..

There's a bug we're trying to track down right now that occurs when new accounts are created.. there's a delay between the time you create it and when it's activated. I don't know how long, but I know it's something we're working on right now.

Mike Semen 03-19-2002 06:03 PM

Paycounter's always rocked for me! :2 cents:

Great service KC!

AdultWire 03-19-2002 06:51 PM

C'mon peeps.. relax. Paycounter's always been good. I just couldn't see it for over 24 hours.. turns out it was my ISP's fault. AOK.. I still use it.. it hasn't skipped a beat for me.

eru 03-19-2002 09:35 PM

Last question -- are click thrus tracked in real time or do they update every 24 hours such as the way Cash Count does it?
