photoshop masters: how is somthing like this done?
 

I know it's 2 images blending but is it Overlay blending? pattern overlay?

It's definitely Photoshop.

There's a lot more ways to marry images than just simple blend modes...that's some advanced shit that requires a lot of patience, masking and skill. It's not a one or 2 click solution.

Those are killer. Right click save as.

Photoshop and it's clones are tools that are perhaps just as difficult to master as the brush, oil and canvas masterpieces of years past. I don't think that these are truly getting the artistic recognition that they deserve. I think there will be a time when digial media is recognized and appreciated for it's artistic qualities.

You couldn't sum work up like that with just a simple... it was an overlay, or mask...

Work like that takes multiple stages... many things to pull it off and make it look "real"

You need something like that done, or just interested?

It's all masking and hand painting and blending to make the two photos blend together. There aren't any blend modes used, that would look all cheese dick.

i want to learn how to do it.
I know photoshop but I could'nt make it - don't have enough of the skills, even tough I did mess with it a lot and did get a result - it's not something close to this.
the thing is, googling for tutotials I realized I just don't have a starting point )keywords to look for) for the secret of how to accomplish that.
