Look'n for a good printer -

I'm in the market for a nice printer but I don't wanna spend more then a few hundred dollars on it. Look'n for something that I can use to print images for a small portfolio that I'm building with images no bigger than 8x10. Good rich color and nice smooth skin tones are a priority :winkwink:

Any suggestions?

Personally come to think about it , if your doing a portfolio. I would get a pro house to print them for you. Around here I can get them for about $7 a print.

Yea - one of my other buds suggested that but my problem with that is leaving it up to someone else to give me the skin tones, contrast and saturation that I'm looking for. I would rather do it myself and know that I'm getting what I want. Thanks Tony!!!

epson 1280 no question, if ya want to spend more, the epson 2200 has smaller nozels by a fraction

and high quality paper like ilford makes a huge difference, also a little secret we discovered here is to increase the saturation by ~+20 for all inkjet photo printing and also turning off color managment in photoshop helps too
