i really liked house of a 1000 corpses, and now that devils rejects just released on video, i will be watching that this weekend - i've heard nothing but good things about this one as well, many here have even said it's better than the first one.

and btw jim, your signature has always reminded me of "Otis" from house of 1000 corpses hehe.

Rejects is trite, overdone and even more of a ripoff of Hooper (if thats even possible). Don't bother.

i don't think im going to listen... there was a thread full of people who said nothing but good things about it a bit over a month ago. you seem to have a hardon for him for some particular reason.

I think he's pushing the envelope a bit - takin some risks... sure he nods to Hooper and tarantino but who doesn't these days... the wife can stand to take a few acting lessons that's for sure but I enjoyed both films...

saw both of mr. zombes movies and i think they are both good movies. Don't care for the mans music at all but I think he has a good take on slasher/comedy films.

What don't you like about his films?

A couple months ago I watched House. I kept waiting for something interesting or scary to happen. After 90 long minutes the "movie" was over. I wanted my time back.

What a heaping pile of steaming dog shit. There is no way in hell I'm wasting another 90 minutes on one of his "movies".

I didn't really like "house of 1000 corpses" but the sequel "the devil's rejects" I really enjoyed. I generally like most horror movies though. :)

I like both movies, he's got a nice sick atmosphere in his movies.

So did the Texas movies, The Hills Have Eyes, Mothers Day, etc.

I even shot a 6 cam live show for them the night before they signed with spielbergs dreamworks records. It was about a week after they aired on 90210

I can enjoy the music from time to time, but his movies are really lame.

The whole premise of that latest one was that the characters were supposedly a band of killers who "killed for no reason other than the thrill of it" yet they never actually explained that in the movie.

The movie just started out in the middle of a gunfight and kept going, giving no explanation for what was going on or any clue of what their motivations were. It was as though the first 20 minutes of set up had been edited out.
